🌿 Did you know you may be able to get a Medicare rebate when seeing a dietitian?

If you’re living with a chronic health condition, your GP may be able to set up a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) aka 'care plan', which provides Medicare-rebated visits to allied health professionals, including dietitians.

This can help reduce your out-of-pocket costs while giving you access to personalised, evidence-based nutrition care.

Still buzzing after an incredible few days at the Sports Dietitians Australia Conference 🤩💚

I met so many inspiring people, connected with brilliant practitioners, and soaked up a tonne of exciting new research and practical sports nutrition strategies.

And yes… the food and sponsor samples were absolutely next-level 😂🙌

Feeling energised, motivated, and ready to bring all this new knowledge back into my clinics to support athletes of all levels. Its also got me even more excited for my upcoming half marathon 🫶

I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since our very first session! 🚜💪 What an incredible 12 months it’s been — full of early mornings, many milestones, laughs, challenges, and plenty of sweat!

A huge thank you to every single one of you who shows up, supports one another, and makes this group what it is 🙌 And of course, a big shoutout to Fat Farmers for creating such a fantastic initiative that continues to support regional health and wellbeing 🌾💚

After three years of hands-on experience, extra study, and learning in the diabetes space… I’m officially a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE)! 🩺

I can’t wait to continue diving deeper into this space💙

So, what does this mean?
➡️ Yes… a bit more paperwork for me 😅
But for you, it means:
✅ You can now access diabetes education appointments under Medicare/private health/DVA
✅ I can get you registered with NDSS (National Diabetes Services Scheme)
✅ I can offer more support around insulin pumps and diabetes technology including pump start ups
✅ And much more!

I’m so proud to be able to bring this extra level of care to my clients through Energised Health — helping you feel empowered, informed, and confident in managing diabetes 💪✨

👟 What’s it all about?
- 1x weekly group session (45–60 mins) at Minlaton Football Oval
- Mix of running + strength training, suitable for all fitness levels
- Tips & tricks for everything running — from pacing and mindset to strength and nutrition
- A supportive, fun group environment to help you work towards your first 5km, 10km, or simply improving your health and fitness.

💪 Health isn’t just about what’s on your plate (although we all know that's very important to me)— it’s about moving your body, keeping your mind strong, and connecting with others.

With 10 years experience in the fitness industry and playing sport since I could walk, fitness has always been a huge part of my life. It’s why I’m so passionate about helping others find joy in movement, especially here in our regional community.

That’s also why I’m so proud to lead the Minlaton Fat Farmers group — a rural health initiative making waves across regional Australia. It’s not just exercise, it’s mateship, mental health, and building healthier, stronger communities together.

I had the pleasure of tagging along to my partner’s Independent Seedgrader Conference 🌱 While my focus is usually on the nutrition side of food, it was a fantastic experience to learn more about what goes into producing the quality foods we eat.

Along the way we visited some incredible farms – from pineapples to sugar cane, soybeans, and ginger. I also learnt so much more about seed production from the seed graders and sponsors attending the conference. It was inspiring to see the level of care and knowledge that goes into every step of the process.

✨ Quick reminder of the nutrition & health benefits of the foods we saw:
🍍 Pineapple – rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and bromelain for immunity and digestion.
🌱 Soybeans – a plant-based protein powerhouse, full of iron and heart-healthy fats.
🌿 Ginger – well known for its anti-inflammatory, digestive, and immune-boosting properties.
🌾 Sugar cane – a natural source of quick energy
🥖 Grains & legumes – rich in fibre, B vitamins, and plant protein, supporting gut health, steady energy, and heart health.

It was such a valuable experience seeing food from a different perspective – from seed to plate 💚
