Curious to understand the practice, science & art of mindfulness meditation? 🧘‍♀️

I’ll be guiding a four-week introduction to mindfulness meditation workshop at starting in a few weeks. For those of you unaware, I am in my final year of a mindfulness meditation teaching program, and I am so excited to share what has changed & enriched my way of being.

My aim is to provide a safe space where we can come together to learn, practice and cultivate these tools into our everyday lives.

If you are interested to learn more or would like to reserve your place, I’d love to hear from you 💖

Recently, through both my meditation teachings and the retreat, I have been learning about the natural emotion joy, and how for a lot of us as we enter into adulthood, it can be an emotion that tends to get ignored, or not given as much attention. But it has a rightful place, and one that we can cultivate through .

As I was out on my morning walk today, I walked past a home where I assume the mum just arrived to surprise her kids with a new puppy. The kids ran outside shrieking for joy, and there were cuddles (and little barks!!) and I couldn’t help but stop and witness this moment. I noticed that whilst not “my” joy, I too could feel the warmth flood through my own body. The saying “where attention goes, energy flows” is such a powerful expression of this 💖 I hope you get to take a moment to pause today and notice a moment of pure joy.. and if you do, please share xx

✨ Our GRATITUDE jar ✨ at the start of 2025, we started a family gratitude practice, where we left post it notes & a pen next to an empty jar, & at any point throughout the year we could write down what we were grateful for and place inside. Yesterday (New Years Day) we started our new tradition of sitting down as a family to read them all. There were moments we had forgotten about, and moments of surprise, love & laughter as we found out what others had written, especially from our eldest child (8yo). Our hearts were full, and now the jar is ready to be filled with gratitude for 2026. This year we also wrote down our aspirations for 2026.
There is now endless scientific backed evidence of the mental & physical benefits of a gratitude practice, and we definitely felt that for ourselves. If you’re looking to improve your wellbeing & calm your nervous system, give this a go! Let me know if you do 💓

Today marks two years since I offered my first come & try yin yoga class at Tara Hall, so this post is to express my gratitude to each and every one of you! As a community offering, this practice is able to run each week because of you ❤️ I have taken a moment to reflect on this amazing and supportive community which shows up, whether you’ve practiced once or (nearly) 100 classes with me in this space, I acknowledge my thanks to you, and the practice we have shared and may continue to share together.

On an aside, this is advance notice that classes will continue to run until Tues 16th Dec, and return on Tues 13th Jan. This will be reflected on our booking system app (bookyway).

Once again, what a pleasure to hold space for each and every one of you. Best wishes and may the holiday season be filled with love and joy for you and your families. Namaste

Namaste 🙏 I’m glad you’re here 🥰 (for those that don’t know what namaste means, it’s an ancient Sanskrit word which loosely translates to “the divine in me sees and honours the divine in you”). I wanted to share a little bit about myself, and why this page exists. Just over a year and a half ago, I transitioned out of my 20 year finance career, as I realised I was feeling depleted and unfulfilled from the juggle of motherhood, daily life stressors and my career. My yin yoga practice was the pause in the hustle and bustle that allowed me the space to breathe, and notice my mind and body. I’ve recently had the opportunity to immerse myself in various studies across disciplines such as psychology, yoga, and meditation & mindfulness. As I am a dedicated life long learner, these teachings and studies will continue, as I constantly stretch out of my comfort zone to grow and evolve. Im here because I want to be able to share the wisdom from the practices that have helped me, and so for nearly two years I have been guiding group yin yoga classes. I am truly in a state of flow when offering this space for my students, and so grateful for your trust. Thank you for being here, and I look forward to growing and evolving with you all, and sharing new learnings and practices along the way. 🙏
Thank you to the amazingly talented Belinda Moretta for creating a calm environment to capture these images 🤍

🧘‍♀️ Yin Yoga & Mindfulness Masterclass 💖
🗓️ Sunday 31 August
🕰️ 2-5pm
🏡 Tara Hall, Magill

Using the ancient tools from the '8 Limbs of Yoga', a set of guidelines on how to live a purposeful & meaningful life, we will be exploring mindful movement, theory, a yin yoga and yoga nidra practice, silent reflection and journaling, and concluding with the opportunity to come together in community with a tea & treat.

This is your opportunity for a sacred pause from your routine, to truly immerse yourself in practices inviting in a deeper sense of awareness and introspection.

Please DM for any questions or to secure your place on the mat.

With gratitude, Nicole

The last few months I have had the opportunity to immerse myself deeper into my yin yoga practice, and have come out the other side not only with this piece of paper certifying me in 200 hours of teacher training, but with an expansion and newfound appreciation for this beloved practice that had already captivated me and now feels completely embedded into my being.

Thank you to for sharing so much wisdom, with my main takeaways being that yoga is so much more than the poses, it’s a way of being, and for the functional knowledge gained around understanding our unique bodies and how we can safely teach others to help them find a pose that works for their body’s structure.

I will be sharing some new offerings with you all soon.. until we meet next time on the mat.. Namaste 🧘‍♀️ 🙏

💪 Intense. Insights. Peace. Calm. Tranquility. Discomfort. Pain. Questioning. Bliss. Freedom. 💖
I’ve reemerged after a 6 night (online) silent insight vipassana meditation retreat. The greatest gift we can give ourselves, even for a moment or two each day, is to listen to our breath, our body, our mind, noticing what arises with curiosity, not judgment. Trying to put the experience into words feels too insignificant for it, as it was immeasurable, but the experience will not be forgotten. What felt most special for me was to stay at my Nonna’s home for the duration of the retreat, which was very nourishing and wholesome on so many levels. The images attempt to capture the mindful experience;
☕️ morning coffee on the stovetop,
🍈 fresh figs for breakfast picked from the tree,
🍃 noticing new life emerging from the cut tree stump on my walks,
🫶🏻 priceless quality time with my 88 year old Italian grandmother who made sure I was never hungry 😋
🐓 💧 seeing the joy in the chickens frolicking in the sprinkler

What stayed with me was a quote “Suffering is not your fault, but it is your responsibility”. We have the ability to always choose our response; we may not like any of the choices we have, but we can still decide how to respond, from a place of loving awareness, rather than a reaction.
Thank you to the beautiful teachers on retreat, Mal Huxter & Lisa Brown from their teachings & insights.

And a huge thank you to the village it took to allow me to step away from home to embark on this retreat 🙏

What a joy it has been to spend the last four Sunday evenings devouring the wisdom & teachings from on Buddhism’s four divine abodes in such a great community setting 🙏

My biggest takeaway? Meditation practice is a muscle; the more you show up and practice for yourself & others, the greater the ripple of positive change you can create 🌍

Whilst I felt sad this was the end of the practice together, I’m excited by the upcoming teachings I’ve committed to, to continue learning & growing in insight meditation (more to come) 🧘‍♀️

One year ago was created & I taught my first yoga class! It’s been a year of growth for me and has been amazing to witness the community of “Yinsters” also evolve on their journeys. I’m grateful to each and every one of you on & off the yoga mat, who have supported with a kind word, or tried a class, or practice regularly. Without each other, this community wouldn’t exist! At both and this week, I ended class by reading “A Love Letter to Gratitude” written by who I recently met at the Radical Reset Retreat by . This love letter holds a special place in my heart as do you all. Forever grateful 💕

It was so wonderful to see all the smiling faces at last Thursday as I handed out the sausages for sausage sizzle day, sponsored by . To this community, I’m happy to extend the Come & Try offer where you can purchase two classes for $20 to either share with a friend or use yourself, to explore whether this based practice resonates with you! As we approach the end of 2024, sometimes the of this time of year can feel so this can be a lovely practice to -centre yourself. DM for any questions or to book a spot on the mat! 🙏 Nicole 🧘‍♀️
