2025 Recap
What a year 2025 was, there were many highs, many lows, lots of personal growth and ultimately so many moments that made us grateful to be alive.
In no particular order, some pivotal moments include:
- starting the year off with yoga on the beach
- Meagan & Melissa celebrating 3 years of ownership of Soul Movement
- Melissa taking full ownership of Soul
- Raising money & awareness for men’s mental health
- Dedicating the month of October to breast cancer research through Hospital Research foundation & raising $5,000
- Running a charity movement marathon with an incredible group of participants
- Navigating the loss of Melissa’s massage business and premise due to fire
- Being blown away by the support after the fire & learning to lean on the kindness of a community
- Holding our first puppy yoga & puppy pilates classes
- Taking a life changing trip to Bali where Melissa conquered her fears, rode an e-bike, had an accident and smashed her knee the day before climbing a volcano and fell in love with aerial yoga and 9D breathwork
- Welcoming Mala into our world
- Melissa’s son Jake, marrying the love of his life Cat
- Celebrating 6 years of Soul Movement
- The welcoming of many incredible new staff members
- The amazing news that Melissa’s daughter in law Cat is pregnant again
- Getting through the year relatively unscathed and still smiling
Through the highs & the lows we can’t tell you how grateful we are for each and every one of you. For following our journey, for your support and for being a part of our Soul community.

Could not have picked a more perfect class to end the year.. not only does it get the party started, it releases tension, puts a smile on your face and the stretching and meditation at the end means you walk out feeling calm, present & ready for the day ahead.
We can’t wait to have more Boxfit parties in 2026 & welcome you all back into the studio.

With Christmas & New Years just around the corner, we wanted to update you on our festive season timetable so you can plan your classes!
Regular classes will run up until Christmas Eve.
Xmas Eve - 9.30am fusion and 5.30pm Strength
Xmas day- closed
Boxing Day- closed
27th-30th - normal
31st - 9.30am boxfit
1st Jan - closed
2nd Jan onwards - back to normal

It’s definitely a scorcher today & that means keeping hydrated is super important!
If you struggle to eat during the warm weather & are looking for a drink that is refreshing, will keep you going & is healthy, look no further! This one is great to have for breakfast (alongside some eggs) or it’s a good one for a mid afternoon pick me up.
Recipe for 2 small glasses
Ingredients:
~ 500 mls of 100% coconut water (I use the one regularly cause it’s cheap & tastes good or )
~ 1 cup of frozen blueberries (I buy whatever organic one is on special at
~ 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
~ fresh mint to your taste preference
~ 1 cup of ice
Method:
1. Blitz it up in a blender & drink straight away
Why it’s good for you (especially during the hot weather)
~ coconut water naturally contains electrolytes which support hydration
~ chia seeds are a good source of fibre, omega 3 fatty acids and various minerals and protein. Chia seeds are also a great choice for breakfast because they absorb water and help the body to retain fluid, they combat constipation & will keep you full for longer
~ blueberries are antioxidant rich, low in calories but high in nutrients
This drink would work well with other berries too. We just happen to love blueberries & had them in hand.

Hi! I’m Paula. Welcome to Soul Movement Studio! The vision was born around 2 years ago. It was out of a desire to combine fitness with mindfulness. Fitness has always been a big part of my life. Having been a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor for the past 10 years, I have had the absolute privilege of helping my clients not only improve their fitness but also increase their energy, confidence and motivation in other areas of their life. Because that’s the thing about exercise, the lessons you learn about yourself when you are challenged, when you are pushed out of your comfort zone, when you want to stop but tell yourself “just one more rep”, they don’t stop at the gym. The workout becomes a metaphor for life: if you can get through your workout then you can get through anything. I truly believe exercise if a gift. A gift we can give to ourselves to show us how strong, capable and resilient we truly are.
Mindfulness. Because much of the pain and suffering we experience daily arises from our thoughts, not the actual reality of what is happening. It took me going through a very challenging time about 4 years ago to come to this realisation. After reading many books and eventually having enough courage to look within through mediation I started to see the impermanence of my thoughts and emotions. Just like the waves in the ocean or the clouds in the sky, all emotions, all thoughts, good and bad... pass by. I still have my ups and my downs but underneath the turbulence, I know there is a constant: the peace I was longing for.
Most of us know we need to exercise more for our health but we also know that our minds need down time. Whether consciously or unconsciously, I believe that we are desperately seeking an opportunity to disconnect from technology, to step away from the hustle and bustle, to break away from the constant demands that draw our attention everywhere but the one place that will bring us true peace and fulfilment... within.
So my purpose for Soul Movement Studio is to provide a space for you to connect with yourself and those around you. To be fully present when you workout… in body, mind and spirit. To break out of comfort zones and then take the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the wonderful gift you have just given yourself. With this intention in mind and heart, I have developed a series of programs including SoulStrength, SoulPower, SoulFusion and SoulYoga, all designed to energise the Body, empower the Mind and uplift the Soul.
