Participating in sports can be an effective way to alleviate mental health issues; however, athletes are not exempt from experiencing mental health challenges. The pressures of performance, both on and off the field, can take a significant toll on an athleteβs mental wellbeing. Student-athletes face additional stressors, including balancing academic responsibilities with rigorous training schedules. When physical injuries occur, athletes often receive adequate time to recover physically, but what about the invisible wounds? Which may require similar attention.
Athletes Mental Edge remains committed to advocating for athlete mental health, amplifying the voices of those who are working to dispel the stigma surrounding mental health discussions. Since our inception, we have continued to drive this conversation forward with increased passion and dedication, proud of the progress weβve made and the success stories weβve helped facilitate, supporting athletes in their journey from struggle to thrive.
