so chuffed to cross the finish line in under 60 minutes on Sunday .
was hard!!!
the mental battle to keep going, the momentum and enthusiasm of the runners, and the encouragement of the volunteers at the drink stations, all propelled me onwards
And was a great day to run!
and so lovely to travel with fellow SRG Deb
Awesome effort by everyone, the organisers, the participants and all the volunteers, thank you .
and I especially appreciated the team spirit at the end of the run, unloading the bag drop trucks.

Thank you community centre for supporting this Kintsugi inspired ‘Embracing Imperfection workshop ‘🎨
Participants brought along their broken pieces, and we explored and ‘workshopped’ various options to mend with Kintsugi style or philosophy in mind.
Lots of in the moment problem solving, and from an art therapy lens : ‘problem solving’ in the art, is what I love to witness🧡
It was lovely to meet everyone and I hope there were moments of flow amidst the challenge of ‘embracing imperfection’ 🎨✨🙏

A beaut and challenging morning W .mignot learning about Expressive Portrait painting in acrylic and understanding tetradic colour schemes! 🎨✨
It was a lovely lesson in Blending and mixing colours, light and shade, and being in the space of learning something new, making mistakes, and not overly caught up in the finished painting needing to be a masterpiece!
And especially lovely to share the experience with my beautiful Mum ✨🌸 who is a queen of creativity 🧡

As an art therapist , ‘Supervision’ is a space to sift and sort, and deepen my understanding of my work and myself.
One of the benefits of art therapy that I value highly , is the ability to use the materials at hand , to express something so succinctly, and words aren’t necessarily needed ✨
And …when I am witnessed expressing whatever it is, without judgement, or opinion, or advice , I (can )feel a wave of relief,
a bubble of laughter,
an easing calm,
an explosion of insight and understanding ,
and …
I often wonder, what took me so long to make art?
