A war goes on…
Between our mind and our conscience.
Between what we *want* to do, and what we *know* is right.

The story of *Pinocchio* and Jiminy Cricket is a beautiful example.
How often do we ignore our inner voice?
How easily the mind grows louder—our will becoming stronger than our values.

Can you be still long enough to hear your inner voice?

The mind shouts—it speaks in monologues, always wanting to control.
But your conscience, your Divine essence, whispers.
It rarely speaks in paragraphs.
Sometimes it's just one word…
Or no words at all—just a feeling.

A flutter in your stomach.
Tightness in your chest.
The discomfort of sitting still.

It was supposed to be easy, being human.
To live a happy life.
But it’s not.
It takes *enormous* work—
To know oneself.
To trust oneself.
To hear oneself.

What does your inner voice sound like today?

A ladder sits against the wall waiting.

What will it be used for?
Is it decoration or does it have a use?

It’s old! It doesn’t extend like the new ones.
And it’s made of wood, a bit old fashioned for some.

It sits against the wall, forgotten.
It’s not lonely.
It knows its purpose.
It doesn’t need to be in use all the time but when it is, it knows it’s worth.

It has a purpose and in that moment it feels so much gratitude for knowing that it can help.

It won’t always be that way.

One day it might be too old, no longer able to carry weight, falling apart from lack of use. but even then it will still have purpose. It could be used as firewood or as an ornament in someone’s bathroom to hang towels.

Who knows what purpose it might have.

It might be forgotten, but there will always be the memories in someone’s consciousness, whether remembered or not, they exist. In that existence and in that memory, the ladder lives on. It made a difference in someone’s life and that feeling of worth is something that will always be remembered.

That feeling is what fills the heart.
That feeling is WHY

I exist.
I am not the ladder.
I am the purpose.
