On this day February 4th 1988 Adelaide Gaol was officially decommissioned. During its 147 working years, approximately 300,000 prisoners passed through and 45 people were executed.

“In Her Words - Elizabeth’s Story (A Guided Tour)” will tell the story of Elizabeth Woolcock. Elizabeth was just 25 when she was executed at the Adelaide Gaol in 1873 and was the only woman ever executed in South Australia.

“Escape Cells at Adelaide Gaol” allows you the chance to step into the shoes of prisoners and escape from puzzle-filled rooms! And there are many more!
