FREE Mental Health First Aid course - BEFORE 2026

We have been offered 6 FREE spaces!

Available to ANYONE interested in learning how to understand and respond to someone experiencing a mental health crisis - or how to catch it before you end up there!

The course requires 12 hours face-to-face contact.

The facilitator is flexible with delivery times over the next few weeks, so we're looking for expression of interest to find most common time slots.

Options are:
👉 weekends - 2 x 6hrs over two weekends
👉 evenings - 4 x 3hrs over two weeks (5:30-8:30pm)
👉 combination of weekend and evenings

For many years we have aspired to truly connect with the community around us in a way that creates lasting support and inclusion for everyone - including the people we support who live with various disabilities.

Well here it is!

Our new 𝑳𝑰𝑵𝑪𝑺 𝑻𝑶 𝑳𝑬𝑮𝑨𝑪𝒀 program offers a range of co-working spaces that can be hired on an hourly, daily or regular basis, but the space is just the beginning.

Legacy Lifestyle Supports has hosted several placement students from Flinders University, studying Social Work and Developmental Education. We look forward to hosting students studying the Employment Pathways Diploma as well!

International Day of People with Disability is held every year on 3 December.

This year's day of celebration will see us teaming up with HCO Disability and Community Services, Mission Australia and Livit Disability Support (formerly known as Community Living Australia) to host 'All Abilities Aquafest' at Summit Aquatic and Leisure.

Whether you're living with a disability, know someone who is or simply want to show your support, everyone is welcome!

Relieved to hear discussions like this being had. Looking forward to the outcomes of the NDIS’s continuous improvement….

As a registered provider there is an incredible amount of pressure to continuously improve. Collect feedback. Learn from feedback. Improve always. That’s what were told.

Sometimes what an agency believes is improvement is more about improving the business sustainability than it is about meeting the needs of the consumer. While sustainability is important (we won’t be able to help anyone if we go out of business) the reason every agency delivering disability services is in operation should be to understand and meeting the participant’s disability related needs first.

If we truly listen to people and plan improvements with them, we’ll be shown a more sustainable way to improve 😊

This person shares a connection with our Director, Kate. They both appreciate fond memories that relate to Kenwoth trucks. Over time this person has appreciated the value our team bring to their life and when they saw this picture book about the history of Kenworth as a business, they recognised a correlation with the hard work our LLS team has contributed to building our business - one that is bringing value to others just the same way Kenworth have in the last 100 years!

Here’s to LLS starting, enduring and developing a business that offers connection and value! 😁

How long before we can write a picture book about our journey? It would be a valuable book to read - that’s for sure!
