It really does take a village. And this week, we’ve felt that more than ever.

Across just one week, the level of collaboration between charities, community organisations, businesses, schools, and government has been nothing short of incredible.

Through the Plunge in Melbourne — run by Zenith Events — we stood alongside Talk Out Loud Australia, Cancer Prevention and Support Association and Breakthrough T1D- different missions, shared purpose.

Alongside them were businesses who didn’t just support from the sidelines, but showed up:
• Programmed Property Services
• John Lynch Strata Group
• Altus Traffic Management
• KTI

And of course, our own incredible Puddle Jumpers teams, who continue to show up, lead, and make these moments possible.

We were also incredibly grateful to be joined by Federal Member Sarah Witty MP, who took the time to come and meet with us — not only in her role as a leader, but as a foster carer herself. A powerful reminder that this work is deeply human.

Back home, the support has continued to flow:

All helping us ensure families have access to essentials, dignity, and practical support when it is needed most.

And beyond donations — real, practical collaboration:
• Working alongside Orange Sky Australia, providing laundry facilities that sit alongside the shower truck within our food relief program
• Salvation Army supporting by loaning a shower truck to help meet demand
• Supporting Safe Pets Safe Families - Keeping people & pets together by loaning a truck so they could move critical infrastructure for their warehouse

And importantly, the businesses and community who stand beside us:
• AVO Fine Foods DistributorTrading supporting with tea towels and linen
• Australian Motors providing ongoing funding and support
• Freemasons helping fund and support our vehicles
• Discount Party Supplies Supplies providing essential food containers and ongoing program support
• Community members who cook, donate food, and show up in quiet, powerful ways every single day

We were also lucky to have Emmaus College students volunteering in our food warehouse this week — young people stepping up, learning, and contributing to something bigger than themselves.

And woven through it all, our partnerships with government:
• Department for Child Protection
• Department for Corrections
• Department of Human Services
• Guardian for Children and Young People
• Thriving Families collaborative and the many organisations within it

This is what community looks like.

Not competition. Not silos.
But people, organisations, businesses, schools, government — and our own teams — all showing up, sharing resources, backing each other in, and making sure no family falls through the cracks.

Because when we work together like this, the impact doesn’t just add up…
it multiplies.
