As a remedial massage therapist, I find there is nothing more rewarding, than to see improvement in clients, whether this be physically or emotionally. With the use of Massage or Reiki energies I tailor each person’s appointment to their individual needs. With the assistance of a pendulum for the Chakras, a Tibetan Singing Bowl for sound and Vibration in the body with music appropriate to the massage, not to forget, stretching set to assist in the muscle recovery. If mid back pain keeps returning, it might not be the mid back that needs the attention.

Tight shoulders can pull down.
Restricted hips can pull up.
And the middle of the back ends up caught in between.

This is why pushing into pain often doesn’t last.

In my work, I focus on creating space stretching in the opposite direction, working with the nervous system, and letting the body feel safe enough to release.

Today’s my birthday… and I’ve been reflecting on something I see often in the clinic.

Mid back pain rarely shows up on its own.
It’s usually connected to tight shoulders above… or locked hips below. Long hours sitting. Carrying responsibility. Holding things together for everyone else.

The body adapts. It protects. And sometimes it speaks up through discomfort.

I’ve just shared a new blog about this not to “fix” the body, but to help you understand the patterns it’s been working with.
