Yesterday Max and Charlie took on the Victor Half Marathon!
Such an awesome experience being out there with everyone and even better spotting some of our clients on course.

Jed’s Recovery & Prep for HYROX Melbourne

Fresh off completing an incredible 100km fundraiser run for Marlo, Jed now has his sights set on a quick turnaround into HYROX Melbourne in just a few weeks.

With two huge events so close together, making sure he’s recovered, pain-free and safe to compete is essential and still being able to perform at his best.

Jed has pulled up well overall, but came in with:
• Lower hamstring tendon overload
• Restricted ankle mobility
• Tightness through the hip + lower back

This session focused on improving mobility and function to reduce the load through his hamstring and provide appropriate tendon loading leading into competition.

Mobility goals:
• Tibial internal rotation
• Ankle dorsiflexion & gastroc length
• Hip adduction + extension
• Lumbar lateral flexion + extension

We achieved great change using targeted exercises, supported with dry needling and hands-on release, and finished by mapping out his training approach in the lead-up to HYROX to keep him progressing while staying fresh and recovered.

Big things ahead, proud of the work Jed is putting in. 👏🏼

Returning to exercise after pregnancy looks different for everyone. 🤍

Start by reconnecting with your core and pelvic floor, building awareness, control, and mobility before reloading. From there, progress gradually with walking, band work, and gentle strength training.

Remember to respect your recovery, listen to your body, and pause if you notice any heaviness, pain, or doming. Support from your physio and GP helps you rebuild safely and confidently.

Every journey is unique, take it at your own pace.
