🌿 Common Pregnancy Conditions Series: Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) 🌿
PGP encompassed pain around the groin, inner thighs, glutes and SIJ, and is aggravated by single leg activities such as stairs, rolling in bed and putting on socks/shoes.

Physiotherapy management includes education (including on pacing and avoiding aggravating activities), prescription of a strengthening program and hands on treatment (such as massage or mobilisations). Your physiotherapist may also recommend compression (SRC) shorts or belts. It will likely be recommended for you to avoid single leg activities for a period of time. Think this is for you? 🌿Low Back Pain Series: Facet Joint Pain🌿

Facet lower back pain often begins with a quick and unguarded movement, such as picking up a toddler or playing golf.

Facet joint pain usually presents on one side of your lower back, but may be on both sides. If left untreated, it may also refer symptoms down the leg or into the abdomen.
This pain is often worse in the morning or after inactivity, and feels like a deep, sharp pain with movements such as twisting.
