Persistent shoulder stiffness or aching that doesn’t improve may reflect gradual joint change - including arthritis. Shoulder arthritis involves breakdown of the cartilage that normally allows smooth movement between joint surfaces.

As the joint surfaces become irregular and cartilage wears away, movement can become uncomfortable and limited. Not all stiffness is arthritis, but understanding the underlying joint health is key to selecting the right path forward.

At Focus Shoulder Specialists, we assess joint health carefully, explain what we find, and help you choose the most appropriate management - from conservative support to surgical solutions when indicated.

Measured evaluation leads to better decisions.

Does your shoulder ever feel like it might slip, shift, or “give way”?

Shoulder instability occurs when the ball of the shoulder moves out of its socket during motion - either from a traumatic event or from repeated motion that stretches the stabilising ligaments. Partial displacement (subluxation) can cause shifting sensations, while full displacement requires prompt care.

Because instability can involve associated injuries to ligaments, cartilage or the labrum, accurate assessment is essential before deciding on a treatment pathway.

At Focus Shoulder Specialists, we combine careful clinical evaluation with imaging where needed, then guide you through targeted options - from strength-focused rehabilitation to surgical stabilisation when appropriate.

Precise assessment first. Then the right plan.
