đ Our Support at Home Team have been working tirelessly to create a smooth transition for existing clients to the new program. The deep sense of belonging and trust in staff is fostered by our culture of always putting a clientâs needs first.
Pictured here are RN Jaya and Care Partner Nerida, who received this beautiful bouquet and chocolates from a client who appreciates the care and kindness they have shown. They can both agree that being appreciated is a deeply rewarding experience for a staff member and Accept could not be prouder of their work. đđžđŒ

A positive way to end the week - the perfect example of how inclusion can benefit a business, a workplace and the broader community. Russell remains a wonderful role model - enjoy your retirement!
After a lifetime filled with dedication, kindness, and quiet brilliance, Russell OâGrady is stepping into retirement from his beloved role at McDonaldâs in Northmead, Australia â and the entire community is feeling the moment.
What began years ago as a simple work-experience opportunity turned into one of the most heartwarming success stories. Russell didnât just work at McDonaldâs â he became the heartbeat of the place, greeting customers with warmth, spreading joy with his smile, and reminding everyone what true sincerity looks like.
Day after day, year after year, Russell showed that inclusion isnât just a policy â itâs a powerful force that can transform lives, workplaces, and communities. His journey reflects how giving someone a chance can create a ripple of positivity that lasts for decades.
Today, as he retires, countless people who met him â even for a moment â are celebrating him. Because Russell wasnât just an employeeâŠ
He was a symbol of acceptance, hard work, and humanity at its best.
Wishing Russell a beautiful, peaceful, and joy-filled retirement â one as warm as the happiness he brought to others. â€ïžâš

International Men's Day is celebrated on November 19 each year. The day aims to highlight the positive contributions men make to society, families, and communities. In 2025, the theme is "Celebrating Men and Boys," focusing on promoting positive male role models and raising awareness about men's health and well-being. Today we recognise the great role models at Accept Care.

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the second World War. This global conflict saw almost one million Australians enlist to serve their nation on the home front and overseas. Some 40,000 Australians lost their lives and many thousands were wounded or injured in the course of their military service.
11 November - on this day, and always, we remember.
Support at Home started on 1 November and weâre ready to guide you through every step. Our systems have been updated, staff are trained and we are ready to partner with you through this change.
The good news is that under the new Support at Home program, more of your funding will go directly towards services. This is made possible by a reduction in the Care Management fees, the removal of Package Management fees and a shift to an all-inclusive hourly rate. Head to our website to learn more. https://accept.care/pricing
Accept Care remains steadfast in our goal of delivering excellence in care to you, allowing you to remain living independently and supported in your own home.

On Monday, we embraced the spirit of Diwali by spreading light, joy, and inclusivity in our offices.
All staff were invited to celebrate this special occasion at Accept for the first time. Our office was filled with the glow of lights and candles, we shared sweet treats of Jalebi, Gajar Halwa, Barfi and Gulab Jamun. We learned what the festival means to different staff members, and reflected on gratitude, kindness, and hope. The light of Diwali reminds us that even the smallest flame can brighten the darkest night - just as small acts of positivity and understanding can illuminate our workplace and our world.
A special thanks to Raman from the Accounts Team, who shared her cultural knowledge and helped with creating an authentic and beautiful Diwali celebration for all.
Wishing everyone a happy, safe, and radiant Diwali!đ

International Infection Prevention Week is observed from 19th to 25th October and is aimed at educating stakeholders and the general public on the importance of preventing the spread of illnesses and infectious agents. Infections ranging from hospital-acquired to those found in homes or workplaces can compromise healthcare workersâ efforts and have a detrimental impact on public health. Every year, secondary infections cause thousands of health concerns in hospitals.
By taking simple precautions, we can limit the spread of infection, keeping our Clients, Participants and staff safe.
Remember stand UPPP! UNITE. PREVENT. PROTECT. PREVAIL.

At Accept, we believe in an inclusive society. For us, this mean a society that supports all Australians - the four million with disabilities as well as the 20 million without - to thrive, set goals and succeed.
Accept is locally owned, independent and with over 20 yearsâ experience set in a modern organisation committed to creating a dynamic partnership with the people we care for. We are big enough to employ over 100 South Australians and service all areas of metropolitan Adelaide. We are small enough to care and offer one-to-one support. Our nurses, support workers and allied health professionals are there to empower you and those involved in your care by making the most of existing capabilities, resources and environment.
Acceptâs vision is to improve the way Australians age and live with disabilities by empowering the individual. Our role is to provide excellent in-home care and services and we work in partnership with our clients, community groups and government organisations, as well as other organisations and healthcare providers, to achieve our vision.
We are committed to the values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence and we continue to develop a positive organisational culture that models these core values.
At Accept we work to deliver excellent person-centred in-home care and services that are designed to help our clients live safely and comfortably, with dignity and in privacy. We place a high value on a standard of care that is tailored to meet the needs of the individual and our community.
We approach everything we do from the clientâs perspective and according to their values, preferences, expressed needs, beliefs and cultural needs, family situation and lifestyle. Our clients, their families and their long-term carers are an integral part of our service delivery. We strive to work with, and in, our community to improve our clientsâ quality of life and independence in their own home. As part of our commitment to creating holistic solutions for our clients, we also collaborate with a wide and established network of service providers when required.
