Today, February 6, is the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Ge***al Mutilation.

FGM is a violation of human rights.
It has no medical benefit and it causes lifelong physical, psychological and emotional harm.

More than 230 million girls and women worldwide are living with the consequences of FGM.
Here in Australia, over 200,000 women and girls are survivors.

This issue is deeply personal to us.

Our Director, Nadia, is a co‑founder of Desert Flower SA, alongside her mother Dr Fariba Behnia-Willison, and Dr Tran Nguyen; a not‑for‑profit organisation dedicated to providing holistic medical care, psychological support, and advocacy for survivors of trauma and FGM.

When you support Eve on 21, you are also supporting the work we do at Desert Flower. Work that centres dignity, safety, compassion and long‑term care for women who deserve so much more than what was taken from them.

The theme for 2026 is:
