Lets talk about Vagus!!!!

Well i mean the vagus nerve which is the body's communication highway. ⚡

It's the longest nerve in your body that carries signals between your brain 🧠 heart ❤️ and digestive system.

The vagus nerve helps control functions such as your heart rate, speech, mood and urine output. It also helps your body switch from its fight-or-flight mode (triggered by high stress😩) to parasympathetic mode (our resting 😴 state).

Factors like stress and your age can limit your vagus nerve's ability to switch between these modes. This could put you at risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, depression or anxiety.

Stimulating the nerve can trigger a relaxation response in our bodies when we feel stressed. Other benefits include:
👉 minimising seizures (for those with epilepsy)
👉 treating depression
👉 regulating emotions
👉 reducing blood pressure
👉 lowering heart rate
👉 reducing inflammation
👉 treating migraines and cluster headaches

5 ways to Stimulate you Vagus nerve are:
👌Gargling
👌Deep breathing
👌Singing or chanting
👌Exercise
👌Meditation

FUN FACT FOR THE DAY
According to a new study from a research team at Skidmore College. The results of a 12-week EXERCISE 🏃‍♀️program were different for MORNING 🌄 vs. EVENING workouts.

Women👩‍🦰 who worked out in the morning lost more fat, while those who trained in the evening gained more upper-body strength and power. As for men🧔, the performance improvements were similar no matter when they exercised. But those who did so in the evening had a significant drop in blood pressure, among other benefits.

One on MY FAVOURITE probiotics to use.
*Only using well established RESEARCHED probiotic strains
*Improve Microbiome composition
*Rebuilding commensal bacteria populations

These unique probiotics support the growth and function of the dominant bacterial groups of the microbiome and suppress PATHOGEN 🤢 growth.

In addition the probiotic strains BB-12 and LGG strains specifically support the gut epithelial mucosa where the bacterial populations reside.

Yummy. I'll be making this for sure over 🐣🍫 Easter

This is something that I have used in many herbal tonic concoctions. Such a beautiful herb to use with soo many benefits.

Studies have confirmed that pomegranate peel is effective against a range of pathogens that infect the human gut, including Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica, Pseudomonas spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella pneumonia, Candida albicans and Giardia lamblia.

Importantly, pomegranate peel does not harm beneficial gut bacteria, and actually stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species.

Highly bioavailable palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is a powder or can be in capsule form that provides endocannabinoid-like actions to support pain relief, including nerve pain, neuroprotection and anti-inflammatory assistance in neuralgia. There has been a lot of studies with positive outcomes using PEA for nerve pain, joint pain and neuropathy.

Quick and easy PEA choc berry bliss balls. Each recipe makes 16 balls (8 day supply).

Ingredients
• 150g raw almonds
• 12 pitted fresh dates
• 32 flat scoops (or 16g) Berry PEA powder
• 1/4 cup (30g) Coles Goji Berries
• 2 tbsp cacao powder or cocoa powder
• 1/2 cup (40g) desiccated coconut
• 2 tbsp white or black chia seeds
• 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
• extra desiccated coconut for rolling in

1. Place all ingredients into a food processer and blend until the mixture resembles a sticky crumb.
2. Place mixture onto a large board and roll into a large ball.
3. Using a large knife, cut the mixture into 2 halves. Cut each half into 2 halves again. Cut each quarter into halves, and cut each 8 lumps in half again leaving 16 equal sized sections
