Heading away soon? Whether it’s a quick weekend trip or a big adventure, a little preparation can make your journey smoother and keep your lymphatic system happy along the way. I call this the Travel Confidence Pack — because it’s less about worry and more about feeling calm, prepared, and ready to enjoy yourself.
Here are some handy items to pop in your bag:
🧴 Sunscreen
Your skin works incredibly hard already, so keeping it protected reduces the risk of sunburn and inflammation — two things your lymphatic system definitely doesn’t put on its holiday wishlist.
🧼 Disinfectant or Antiseptic Wipes
Small cuts or bites can sneak up on anyone during travel. Having wipes on hand lets you clean the area fast, reducing the risk of cellulitis (your immune system will thank you).
🧤 Disposable Gloves
Useful if you need to apply first aid while you’re out and about, or if you prefer to keep hands clean when handling dressings. (And to wear over your hand compression while eating)
🧻 Small First Aid Kit
Include bandaids, a couple of non-stick dressings, and a small tube of antiseptic cream.
🧦 Compression Garments (and a spare pair!)
Heat, humidity, and long travel times can play havoc with swelling. A backup pair means you’re never caught without support.
💧 Hydration Plan
A reusable water bottle is a must. Hydration helps your lymphatic system move more efficiently — plus you’ll feel better overall.
🪶 Loose, breathable clothing
Let’s be honest, your body is doing enough without being squeezed into tight outfits on a long flight or car ride.
🦟 Insect repellent
Mosquitoes don’t respect personal boundaries. A quick spray can help prevent bites and the inflammation that can follow.
🧘♀️ Movement Reminders
Set a timer to wiggle your toes, rotate your ankles, or go for a stretch. Small movements keep fluid moving and stiffness at bay.
Travelling should feel exciting — not stressful. A simple kit like this helps keep the “what ifs” in the background so you can focus on making memories, taking photos, and eating questionable airport sandwiches (we’ve all been there).
Safe travels! 💙✨
