😺 We had a very important visitor in the office…

Zeitun introduced us to our newest (and definitely fluffiest) team member, 10‑week‑old Biscoff.

He’s already settling in beautifully… maybe too beautifully.
We’re not entirely sure he’ll make it through probation, mostly due to:

🐾Excessive cuddle demands
🐾Repeatedly falling asleep on the job (and on our laps)
🐾Zero typing accuracy
🐾And an ongoing refusal to attend meetings unless snacks are involved

But honestly? We’re all a little obsessed.

At Carelink Support Services, we love moments like this — the little joys that brighten our day while we support communities across Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

💛 We’re here for compassionate, inclusive care… and apparently for tiny office supervisors with big personalities. Watching our community — furry friends included — grow and thrive is what keeps us smiling.

🌱 Supporting the next generation of community workers

At Carelink Support Services, we’re passionate about breaking down cultural and language barriers so people across Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory can access support that truly feels like home.

We’re excited to welcome Tabitha and Noey, two incredible community services students who will be completing 200 hours of placement with us. Throughout their time here, we’ll be providing hands‑on coaching, guidance and real‑world training to help them grow into confident, compassionate support professionals.

Watching students step into this space, learn, connect and thrive is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Their passion reminds us why inclusive, culturally aware care matters so much.

Carelink Support Services is pleased to share a brand new Specialist Disability Accommodation home in Elizabeth South, designed to provide comfort, accessibility and independence for people requiring higher levels of support.

This modern 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with a garage has been purpose-built to meet High Physical Support SDA standards, with On-site Overnight Assistance (OOA) available. The home will be shared by two residents, creating a calm and supportive living environment.

Conveniently located close to Lyell McEwin Hospital and Elizabeth City Centre, residents have easy access to medical services, shopping and community amenities. The Adelaide CBD is also approximately a 30-minute drive away.

✨ Current resident
A lovely 62-year-old woman living with dementia who has a warm sense of humour and a genuine love for animals.

✨ Who might be a good match?
Someone easy-going and respectful who enjoys occasional shared activities but is also comfortable with their own space.
Applicants will need SDA funding for Improved Liveability, Fully Accessible, or High Physical Support.

Big news for the Carelink community! We’ve officially expanded our services to Darwin!

Our General Manager, Paige, spent last week in Darwin meeting with support workers, participants and local NDIS‑related businesses. It was an incredible opportunity to build relationships, understand community needs and connect with the people who make this sector so special.

With this expansion, Carelink now operates in Melbourne, Adelaide, Alice Springs and Darwin, a huge and exciting step forward for our team.

Paige has shared some beautiful snaps from her time up north, and we’re thrilled to be extending our support to the Darwin community.

✨ Faces of Carelink | Meet Charles ✨

Please join us in welcoming Charles Bwombengi, our newest team member and Supported Independent Living (SIL) & Relationship Manager at Carelink Support Services 💙

With 8 years of experience in the disability and NDIS sector, Charles brings a strong blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and genuine care to his role. He holds an International MBA in Human Resource Management and has worked across a wide range of senior positions, including Service Delivery Manager, Residential Care Manager, Business Development Manager, and HR Manager within the NDIS space.

What truly drives Charles is supporting participants to achieve positive outcomes, empowering people to live the life they deserve while working toward their individual goals. He’s passionate about building strong relationships and ensuring supports are delivered with purpose, respect, and integrity.

Outside of work, Charles is full of energy and creativity. He loves socialising, dancing, and cooking, and many people are surprised to learn that he’s also incredibly artistic, he can draw almost anything! ✏️🎨
When it comes to travel, Bali is a current favourite, with the Maldives firmly on his future wish list.

Charles describes himself as a smiling machine, and it shows 🙂 His positivity and warmth are already making a wonderful impression across the Carelink team.

✨ Faces of Carelink | Meet Paula ✨

Meet Paula Yiatrou, our incredible Operations Manager at Carelink Support Services.

With over a decade of experience in the NDIS and disability sector, Paula brings deep industry knowledge, heartfelt passion, and an unwavering commitment to quality support. Her journey began on the frontline as a Disability Support Worker, giving her invaluable insight into the real challenges, and incredible rewards, of the work we do every day.
From complex case management to service and operational leadership, Paula has truly worked her way up from the ground level. There’s very little she hasn’t seen, supported, or helped navigate, and that experience shines through in the way she leads, mentors, and empowers our teams.

Paula is deeply invested in creating environments where staff feel confident, supported, and knowledgeable because she knows that great support starts with well-supported people. She continually builds on her skills through extensive training across disability, leadership, and management, always striving to be the best she can be for her team and the people we support.
Outside of work, Paula’s heart belongs to her family, especially her beautiful granddaughter (widely regarded as the most adorable human on the planet 💕).

She lives on a farm in the Adelaide Hills surrounded by animals, loves travelling and exploring new cultures and cuisines, and holds a special place in her heart for Cyprus and the USA. In her downtime, you’ll find her browsing markets for a bargain, watching crime dramas or romantic comedies… preferably far away from moths or fish, which she is absolutely not a fan of!

We’re so grateful to have Paula leading with compassion, experience, and heart here at Carelink 💙
