I was so pleased to find this wonderful headstone for my 2× great grandfather John Reid and his wife Catherine Burnet. It also remembers two of their children, Alexander and Christina. Finds like this are why I love family history — they connect us so directly to the people who came before us.

Woohoo!! Another Genealogy SA database update, more records to search and more stories to discover!

Exciting new database updates - 345,000+ records added!

'All Other Records' is a collection of records that do not have a clear home within our other datasets. We're excited to expand this collection, adding more than 345,000 records, from 42 magazines. There's a huge range of subjects, including magazines from theatre companies, hobby groups, and professional organisations, as well as numerous universities, colleges, and schools.

We have also created a brand new dataset: Church Records - Other. Currently, this is a collection of 12,000+ donated certificate records, but future versions will expand the types of records made available.

Thanks as always go to our dedicated volunteers, whose work enables this wonderful and ever-growing collection of records.
