Belongside Families and Amelia Wright from neurotopical therapy are coming together for a free online webinar to gently unpack what burnout can look like in children, and how we can support wellbeing in ways that respect capacity, rather than pushing through.

In this session, we’ll explore:
• Early signs of overload and exhaustion
• Practical ways to reduce demands and support regulation day to day
• How to build capacity while protecting wellbeing
• Advocating for adjustments at school
• Talking with children about rest, needs and limits

I don’t know about everyone else but I’m not all that interested in resolutions and change. Everyone’s talking about foot, exercise, goals- my black and white thinking used to tell me I should too! But I’m far more interested in living the life I need every day and making small changes all the time as I go!

I also watched Ellbats new video and I was inspired by how she wanted more joy and passion, something we too often forget in adulthood.

Anyways are you in full resolution mode or need a break from all the social norms of January!

This is both about autism barbie and not about autism barbie 😵‍💫 maybe we get so used to feeling unheard that we double down on good vs bad, maybe it’s the rigidity in the diagnostic criteria, or maybe it’s something else but I’m choosing to feel joy about an autistic barbie and also frustrated at capitalism and consumerism. Obviously there is nuance, we should not be failing because we are not accommodated. But we should be failing because that is a normal experience for everyone it’s an opportunity to learn, it builds resilience, we adapt, innovate and inspires 🌟 (yeah I know, I heaps don’t want to fail either, it sucks!!!!!)

I am closing down for the holidays ✨ see you all on January 5th 2026 💜

I’m so thankful for a wonderful year working with my community. It’s a privilege everyday to know people so closely, to offer support alongside them.

I know I post a lot about my achievements and success, but know I have struggled immensely before my diagnosis, and I continue to face the challenges of being AuDHD in a neurotypical world.

This year though, has been a particularly grounding, and amazing year not because of a business or a university paper, but because I’m finally finding a balance in my life that for 30 years felt impossible. I wake up every day hoping to help others find that too.

However you celebrate the closing of a year into the next, I wish you all a restful, gentle, affirming and true to yourself holiday period.

An idea that came to be because I did in fact put my empty Coke Zero can on top of my tree because we don’t have a star ✨

So here’s my list of current interests and loves that deserve the star position on the tree:

⭐️Obviously Coke Zero because it is my life juice and it is my favourite part of eating 🥤

⭐️ Any book about mythology, I’m currently reading The Mythos, which is Greek mythology rewritten by Stephen Fry- and it’s really fun to read in his voice 📚

⭐️ Cowboy boots!! Because although western and cowboys have been a SpIn for 4 years, this year it peaked with singing and dancing to country music alllllll the time.. as well as accumulating an extra 3 pairs of boots 👢

⭐️ As always, my Christmas should be Halloween like the Blink 182 song.. it should be no surprise that my tree is black and orange in real life! 🎃

⭐️ Sweet treats getting me through the last of the year, with special shout out to pink sprinkle donuts or cinnamon scrolls- and an iced soy latte with gingerbread syrup or a soy iced matcha 🧋
