Hello final year Podiatry students 👋🏻

Hi I’m Melissa Zacharia. I’ve been a podiatrist for 15 years, and I still remember being a final year student… and a nervous new grad.

At uni? 3 clients in a morning.
First day as a grad? 18 patients. My first client wanted nail care, callus treatment, an orthotic re-cover and a diabetes foot assessment 😅

Confidence doesn’t magically appear when you graduate. It’s formed with the right support, clinical exposure, and people who genuinely have your back and want you to succeed.

That’s why we created our 2026 Final Year Podiatry Internship at Pod Fit Podiatry ✨

We’re opening 6 positions for final year students who don’t just want to finish their degree - they want to feel ready!

What you’ll get:
✔️ Practical clinical workshops (running assessments + heel pain frameworks)
✔️ Access to our team education days (including international guest speakers)
✔️ Unlimited clinic observation
✔️ Direct support from a Senior Podiatrist (me!) ask anything, no judgement

Get your thinking caps on! This week, our senior athletes will work within their age groups to select their events.
✅ Athletes must choose 2 track 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ and 2 field 🏹 events
⭐ This is your chance to select events that will help you qualify for SICs
📋 All selected events will need to be approved by our coaches to ensure the day runs smoothly and everyone gets the best opportunity to compete.

When it comes to heel pain, be it plantar fasciitis and fasciopathy, it can be confusing to know what scan to get and why. Clients often ask, “do I need a X-ray?!’

We’ve put together a guide to help those with heel pain understand more behind X-rays and ultrasounds, and what we are really looking at when we send off for further clarification.
