Our Women’s Health Plus specialist has admission rights at North Eastern Community Hospital, Burnside Hospital, Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital and most other private hospitals in Adelaide. We also provide an extensive range of aesthetic procedures, such as anti-wrinkle injections and fillers, as well as laser treatment for skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, warts and vascular lesions, toe nail fungal infection, scar reduction, acne, hair removal, stretch marks and other skin conditions. We place a strong emphasis on natural results and will involve you in the decision making process to achieve this safely and effectively.

Visanne (dienogest 2mg) is one of the most commonly prescribed treatments for endometriosis pain, but many women don’t fully understand what it actually does.👇🏼
Endometriosis is influenced by oestrogen and driven by inflammation. Visanne is a progesterone-based medication that works by gently suppressing ovulation in most women and slightly lowering oestrogen levels. This helps reduce the activity of endometriosis tissue and calm inflammation over time. 🙌🏽
It’s important to know:
- It’s not a quick fix. Improvement is usually gradual over 8–12 weeks, with pain continuining to improve
- Bleeding changes (spotting, lighter periods or no periods) are common early on
- It does not contain oestrogen
- It is not a contraceptive
For many women, Visanne can significantly reduce pelvic pain and improve quality of life. For others, it may be one part of a broader, individualised treatment plan. 👏🏽
