Did you know your thyroid is being catfished by your morning routine? 😱

Here’s the science: Fluoride (in your toothpaste) and Chlorine (in your tap water) are part of a chemical family called Halogens.

The problem? So is Iodine. Because they look so similar, Fluoride and Chlorine can actually "sit" on your thyroid receptors, effectively locking the door so the real Iodine can’t get in to make your T4 and T3 hormones. It’s like someone taking your seat at a dinner party before you arrive!

💡 Quick Tip: To give your thyroid some breathing room, try switching to a fluoride-free toothpaste in the morning and keeping fluoride toothpaste for night and also grabbing a simple shower filter to reduce chlorine exposure. Your metabolism will thank you!

When blood tests come back clear, it doesn't mean you are healthy; it often just means the standard tests aren't looking at the right things.

Should you be watching your Sulfur intake? 🧅🥦

If you're dealing with Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), you might have heard about avoiding certain foods. But why the focus on Sulfur?

For some SIBO patients, especially those with an overgrowth of hydrogen sulfide-producing bacteria, high-sulfur foods can worsen symptoms. These bacteria feed on sulfur compounds and produce excess hydrogen sulfide gas, leading to:

✅ Gas & Bloating

✅ Diarrhea

✅ Abdominal Pain

Sulfur-Rich Foods to be mindful of:

✅ Alliums: Garlic and Onions
