Get to the this event in Port Adelaide.
Coming soon peeps so lock it in.
Comedian Joshua Warrior got his big break in 2015 when he was a state finalist in the Deadly Funny Competition. He has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and recently got back from his first overseas trip where he performed in London.
Since hitting the scene he has shared the stage with some big names including Greg Fleet, Chis Franklin, George Kapinyaris, Mikey Robins, Will Anderson and Stephen K Amos.
Joshua loves making gags about everyday life, “It comes natural to me. I just walk on stage and do something stupid.” As for what makes him stand out, he adds, “My comedy really shined as my Aboriginal flavour was separate to the rest.”
Remembering back to his school days, Joshua said, “I was always the class clown at school and used to run the school assembly and add my own humour to it by mocking certain teachers as I introduced the next speakers.”
Joshua has strong links with Port Adelaide, having lived locally for many years. In his youth he played football for the Magpies, following in his father and brother’s footsteps. He is looking forward to performing in the Port once again.
Tarnanthi hits Port Adelaide on 21 October where Joshua is looking forward to entertaining the crowd with his hilarious act.
“I can't wait for Tanarnthi. We’ve got singers, hip hop rappers, dancers and of course comedians coming to entertain. This cultural event is going to be fantastic for the Port Adelaide and also the Aboriginal community.”
