Seems a little odd that we’d need a metal as part of our diet, but zinc is a necessary mineral that allows us to create new DNA, lets our cells to grow and divide, builds proteins, and a whole lot more 💪🏼.

Adult women need about 8mg of zinc a day, and men need about 14mg, so it helps to know which foods are rich in zinc so that you can meet your requirements and stay healthy 🥳

Here are a handful of foods that are zinc-rich:

Rock oysters: 20.25mg of zinc per 100g 🦪
Lamb shank: 10mg of zinc per 100g 🐑
Pumpkin seeds: 7.5mg of zinc per 100g 🎃
