Last night we were thrilled to welcome a range of current and former members, partners and supporters as well as VIP’s to our end of year event at the SA Sports Institute! 🥳

We thank Rhiannon Pearce MP, Minster for Recreation, Sport and Racing for joining us, helping launch our newest initiative - 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗗𝗛𝗗 𝗧𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁!

Additionally, we heard stories and shared laughs with retiring SASMA Members, 𝗗𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿 and 𝗗𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝘄𝘆𝗲𝗿. We congratulate them both on their outstanding careers in sports medicine 👏

Great to be part of the Achper SA Secondary HPE Conference at The Lights Community and Sports Centre this week.

SASMA Education Manager, Alex, delivered the workshop - 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 💪🏋️

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships Adelaide 2025 wrapped up last night, concluding a fantastic fortnight covering the medical services for this event! 🥳🏐

We would like to again acknowledge our brilliant sports medicine team - Sports Trainers, Doctors, Medical Support and SASMA staff - who played a vital role throughout the championships.

Congratulations to the World Champion teams from Sweden 🇸🇪 and Latvia 🇱🇻 on an outstanding performance, as well as the event staff and volunteers who worked hard behind the scenes.

SASMA is proud to have played an important role at a world class, international event held in our own state! 👏

Our Sports Medicine in General Practice Course concluded over the weekend, a brilliant four days of education and networking!

We would like to specifically thank long-time Course Convenor, Dr Marc Cesana, for his contributions in pulling the program together each year, as well as his high energy presentations throughout!

A special mention to Dr Nathan Lang, who was awarded the Owen Bowering Award as the most outstanding participant.

The weekends topics included 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗯 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗲, 𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗻 and 𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
