Friends, Anzac Day is seen to honour all those that chose to don a uniform in defence of Australia and New Zealand. Yet that seems just a start... The term mate ship was born on the shores of a distant land, where bonds between strangers were formed into friendships, whose sacrifices have led me to have the freedoms that I now have. Take the day... or a moment to be grateful for the freedom that we have and for our defence forces sacrifices that have led us here. May one day soon, herald a time of peace where the art of war is left to a child's chess board.

The Australian Light Horse A Poem
The Australian's would dismount they thought,
Beersheba's water is what the Empire sort.
The Turkish knew the Light Horse preferred to fight on foot
So they set their sights and waited in the heat haze and soot
Captain Davies let out a yell at the top of his voice so near,
That started us as we spurred our horses breathing in courage & fear
With hooves of rolling thunder as we draw near
There are no words to be spoken
Just a look to say goodbye
We draw a breath and the day is broken
As we scream our battle cry!
