Flu vaccination clinics are now available!

Now is the time to book in for your flu vaccination via online bookings through our website https://www.radiusmedical.com.au/ just click on the "Flu Clinic" tab or phone Reception on 3264 000.

Available Flu Vaccination Clinic dates :

Wednesday 15th April : 11.30am – 1.00pm
Friday 17th April : 11.15am - 1.30pm
Monday 20th April : 9.00am - 11.00am
Wednesday 22nd April : 2.00pm – 3.30pm
Friday 24th April : 10.45am – 12.30pm
Monday 27th April : 9.30am – 11.30am
Wednesday 29th April : 2.00pm – 3.30pm
Friday 1st May : 9.30am – 11.30am

Queensland Government are providing free flu vaccinations for all Queenslanders aged 6 months and over.

The flu vaccination clinic is for all patients aged 6 months of age and over to book in for an Influenza vaccination only.

If you require a script, referral or results, please book another appointment with your regular GP.

Please Note: There is a free flu mist available for patients aged 2-5 years.

❗️New Adult ADHD Assessment and Management Service ❗️

We are pleased to announce that Dr Louise Hale is now offering assessments and management for patients aged between 18 to 50 years with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Dr Hale has a long and experienced history in mental health and has recently completed specialised training in ADHD. She is passionate about providing tailored assessments for patients who may have ADHD.

Patients can be referred by their GP, or they can book an appointment by phoning Your Healthy Mind on 3881 0030.

Please note - this service may not be suitable for those with a history of psychosis, recreational amphetamine use or bipolar/mania-related illness.
We encourage you to discuss your suitability with your doctor.

We are excited to expand our services to better support our community's mental health needs.

We are pleased to advise that Dr Lauren Bracey will be returning to work from Monday 9th February.

Initially, Dr Bracey will be available for telehealth appointments on Mondays from 8:00am to 11:00am, with limited availability for face-to-face consultations on weekends.

Patients who wish to book long telehealth appointments with Dr Bracey are strongly encouraged to be registered with *MyMedicare, as this supports ongoing access to longer consultations.

In addition, Dr Bracey is currently available for prescription requests for her regular patients via HotDoc.

Appointments and requests can be made through HotDoc as usual.

If you have any questions, please contact the practice for further assistance.

We look forward to welcoming Dr Bracey back and appreciate your ongoing support.

**Update - Bexsero vaccinations are now in stock! :)
Please book vaccination appointments as per usual. **

We would like to inform our patients that there is currently a shortage of the Bexsero (meningococcal B) vaccine, and we are awaiting new stock to arrive.

We are still encouraging patients to attend their scheduled or due vaccination appointments. If Bexsero is required, a discussion can take place with your GP at the time of your visit regarding the process and next steps for this particular vaccination.

Notice to Patients re ADHD Assessments and Prescribing –

Due to the current lack of clarity surrounding national guidance on ADHD prescribing, we are unable at this time to provide any further details regarding ADHD assessments with our GPs.

We understand this uncertainty may be frustrating, and we want to assure you that we are committed to patient safety.

At present, there has been no clear direction on how GP involvement should proceed following the recent public announcement.

Until further guidance is issued, we must pause the provision of additional information.

We will continue to monitor updates closely and will keep our patients informed as soon as more information becomes available.

Medicare have recently removed item numbers 2712 and 2713 for mental health consultations which may result in some changes to your rebate for mental health appointments.

Please be assured that our doctors remain dedicated to supporting patients with their mental health needs, providing ongoing, compassionate, and high-quality care.


Given that this may ultimately lead to higher out of pocket costs for patients, we recognise you may wish to raise your concerns re Medicare’s discontinuation of these consultation item numbers.

We encourage you to contact your Local Federal member of Parliament if this is the case.
