🕊️ Remembrance Day — Lest We Forget

Today we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of all who have served — and those who continue to serve — in defence of our freedom.

At 11am, we take a moment of silence to remember the men and women who gave so much for the life we are privileged to live today.
Their strength and endurance remind us of the power of community and the importance of looking after one another.

💪 Motion is Lotion! 💧

When it comes to back pain, gentle movement is key. Here’s a simple exercise circuit you can do at home to help loosen up your lower back and keep things moving:

1️⃣ Knee rocks – ease into movement and gently mobilise your spine.
2️⃣ Single knee to chest – release tension through your lower back and hips.
3️⃣ Glute stretch – open up tight muscles that can pull on your back.

These small, controlled movements help to reduce stiffness, and remind your body that movement is safe and helpful.

Staying in one position too long (even a “good” one) can make your muscles and joints stiff, and your body start to ache. The solution?
👉 Every 30 minutes: Stand. Stretch. Reset.

Small, regular movement breaks help your spine stay flexible, your circulation flowing, and your brain more alert.

This week, we’re focusing on a simple but powerful exercise: the pelvic tilt.
Imagine your hips are a bowl of water — gently tip the water out the front, then out the back. This small movement helps ease stiffness, and improve your body awareness.

Research tells us that there isn't a perfect posture for low back pain. We like to think of posture as helpful and not helpful.
✅ Helpful posture: offloads sensitive tissues, puts gentle information into your nervous system.
❎ Unhelpful posture: increases pressure or sensitivity to sore areas.

Remember: Good posture isn’t just about standing tall—it's about doing whats right for your body!
