🎄☀️ Even Santa’s elves know that summer sun safety is no joke!
Our elves are soaking up the sunshine responsibly… shade overhead, sunscreen on hand, and skin protected.

As we head into the Christmas holidays, don’t forget:
✔️ Slip on protective clothing
✔️ Slop on SPF 50+
✔️ Slap on a hat
✔️ Seek shade
✔️ Slide on sunnies

Your skin is for life - look after it this summer! And if you notice a new or changing spot, are overdue for your annual skin check, or just want peace of mind, book a skin check with one of our experienced doctors.

We were delighted to welcome Renee from Brisbane North PHN recently to formally acknowledge the wonderful work of our Practice Nurse, Rhiannon 🌟

Rhiannon recently developed a brilliant cancer screening resource, helping to raise awareness and support early detection within general practice - and it's been so well-received by health professionals across Qld that PHN wanted to recognise her efforts in person.

We are incredibly proud of her initiative, creativity, and dedication to patient care. And a big thank you to PHN for taking the time to visit and acknowledge this achievement with us.

Please join us in congratulating Rhiannon on this well-deserved recognition! 💛

🌞The hot weather is here, and temperatures are climbing! Please remember to take extra care in the heat by staying well-hydrated, keeping cool where possible, and avoiding prolonged time in direct sun.

Heat exhaustion and heatstroke can come on quickly. Warning signs include: dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating or very hot/dry skin, rapid heartbeat, and feeling unusually tired or confused.

If you or someone else experiences these symptoms, move to a cool place, drink fluids, and seek medical attention if symptoms don’t improve.

Despite being one of the most preventable and treatable forms of cancer, cervical cancer remains the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide.

Australia, however, is on track to be the first country to eliminate cervical cancer as a health problem by 2035, due to successful implementation of the HPV vaccination and routine cervical screening programs.

If you have questions about the HPV vaccination, routine cervical screenings, or signs, symptoms and treatment for cervical cancer – please give us a ring at 3264 2622.
