It's Invisible Disabilities Week — a time to raise awareness and understanding for the many people living with disabilities that aren't immediately visible. 💙
At Ancora, we recognise that not all challenges can be seen, and we're committed to providing respectful, inclusive support for every individual.

Let’s continue to break down barriers and build a more understanding community.

It’s Invisible Disabilities Week (19–25 October)! 🌻

Around 80–85% of people with a disability have one that isn’t visible. These include neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health, and chronic conditions that aren’t always immediately apparent.

Not all disabilities are visible — but a little understanding and kindness can go a long way in making everyone feel seen and supported.

Wow, what a party! 🎉
Huge congratulations to the organisers and sponsors for putting on such an incredible All Abilities Ball. We weren’t involved in organising the event, but several of our customers attended—and the feedback has been absolutely amazing!
It’s so heartwarming to see events like this creating joyful, inclusive experiences for everyone. 💙✨

💚 Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Mental health matters — for everyone.

At Ancora, we know how important it is to look after our mental wellbeing, not just for the people we support, but for our team too. As a disability support provider, we see every day how mental health impacts quality of life, connection, and confidence.

This month is a great reminder to check in with ourselves and each other, to have honest conversations, and to keep breaking the stigma around mental health.

Because when we take care of our minds, we all thrive.

From a coffee catch-up to a walk in a local park, small moments of connection can make a big difference.

This , Mental Health Australia have shared daily tips encouraging everyone to check in, show up, and remind each other: you’re not alone 💛

💜 Team Irontide is nearly halfway to their fundraising goal for Epilepsy WA – and they've got 14 days to go!
They’re stepping up for those living with epilepsy – will you help them reach the finish line? Every dollar counts! 🙌
👉 Step 4 Epilepsy WA 2025 | Irontide

Support Our Staff as They Step Up for Epilepsy! — a cause that’s close to our hearts and personal for our team. One of our teammates is walking in honour of her late father, who lived with epilepsy — and while this walk is a tribute to him, it’s also for the 1 in 25 Australians who will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime.

We're walking for the kids, the parents, the quiet fighters, and the loud advocates — for everyone whose life is impacted by epilepsy. This condition is more common than people think yet often misunderstood or hidden in the background. We're here to help change that.

The funds we raise will go directly to Epilepsy WA, a brilliant organisation that’s been backing the community with vital services, education, and support for over 60 years.

💜 Please show your support by scanning the QR code and making a donation—every dollar counts towards creating a more inclusive and supportive community for those affected by epilepsy.

Thank you for standing with us!

Today is R U OK? Day 💛
A simple conversation can make a big difference. Take a moment to check in with a colleague, friend, or loved one — and really listen. You don’t need to have all the answers, just start with “Are you OK?”
Let’s support one another, not just today but every day.

Today is , but life happens EVERY day.

Look out for signs someone might need you to check in and ask, 'are you OK?'.

Because a conversation could change a life.

You never think you’ll need it… until you do.

Donating blood or plasma takes just a little of your time — but it can make a life-changing difference for someone in need.

If you’re eligible and able, please consider making a donation to the Red Cross. Every drop counts. ❤️

Demand for blood reached record levels over winter, coinciding with the highest appointment cancellation rates since the pandemic, severely impacting the blood supply. If you’ve never donated before, now is the time to start https://app.lifeblood.com.au/XW3k/1ol39xde.
We need donors of all blood types, help us find them by sharing this post.

We know how important pets are – they’re more than companions; they provide love, comfort, and emotional support. But taking care of them, especially when unexpected vet bills arise, can be tough.

If you or someone you know needs a little help to keep their furry friend healthy and happy, support is available. 💙🐶🐱
