Taryn is a former high school teacher and proud mum to a Year 12 daughter. After recently relocating from Broome to beautiful Albany, she’s excited to put down roots and serve the local community. 👋 Meet Dr Rachel Inglis

Rachel has recently joined the team at Pioneer Health Albany as a GP Registrar.

Rachel grew up in Perth, and studied Medicine at The University of Notre Dame, Fremantle. Prior to starting as a GP Registrar, Rachel worked across Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth Children's Hospital and Albany Health Campus. Rachel has particular interests in working with children and families, preventative health and chronic conditions. Outside of work, Rachel loves spending time with her family, trialling new recipes in the kitchen and heading to the beach.

👋 Meet Dr Patrick Jones

Patrick has recently joined the team at Pioneer Health Albany as a GP Registrar.

Patrick was born and raised in tropical North Queensland, graduating from James Cook University in 2021. He is a Rural GP Registrar with a background of hospital work across four states in Australia, with interests in adult, paediatric, and sports medicine. Having worked in Albany hospital since 2024, he is known for his friendly smile and communication.

Away from Pioneer, you’ll often find Patrick at the beach. He is also a keen football supporter, following Liverpool and playing for Caledonian.

👋 Meet Dr Katie Sanders

Katie has recently joined the team at Pioneer Health Albany as a GP Registrar.

Katie graduated from the University of Birmingham in the UK in 2020 and completed 2 years of foundation training before moving to Australia in 2022. She has experience working in several different emergency departments across Australia including Gold Coast, Mackay and Coffs Harbour. She moved to Western Australia in 2025 to commence her Rural Generalism training and is excited to be a part of the Pioneer Health Albany team! Outside of work Katie enjoys travelling, running and loves the Australian coffee culture!

Josh has recently joined the team at Pioneer Health Albany as a GP Registrar.

Josh is originally from the UK, graduating from the University of Birmingham in 2020. He has lived across Australia including the Gold Coast, Mackay, and Fremantle before settling on Albany to be his new home. He is training to be a rural generalist with an interest in both general practice and emergency medicine. He loves camping, hiking, and cycling.
