Pioneer Health is pleased to now offer retinal screening for patients with diabetes using advanced AI-assisted retinal imaging technology, in partnership with Ninox Vision and Professor Angus Turner.

Diabetic retinopathy is the leading cause of preventable vision loss in working-age Australians, and screening rates are still lower than they should be, especially in regional areas. The good news is that early detection can prevent most vision loss.

The retinal scan:

• Takes only a few minutes
• Can often be done around the time of your GP appointment
• Is bulk billed for eligible patients
• Helps detect problems early, before vision is affected
