Our team at Pivot would like to extend our sincere thank you to Albany Community Foundation for their ongoing support. With the support of ACF we are able to deliver emergency food relief and financial support to break the cycle of disadvantage or prevent homelessness, and 100% of funds are distributed to community members in need.

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve received a walk-in cash donation and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Our CEO Moira Watson was honoured to be invited to a roundtable conversation last week. I truly valued the opportunity to meet with Samantha Rowe MLC to discuss the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities in the Great Southern. It was inspiring to hear the perspectives shared by a distinguished group of leaders and explore opportunities for collaboration that can strengthen our collective impact.

The collaborative meeting included Samantha Rowe MLC, Hon Alannah MacTiernan, CEO Jackie Boyce from Albany Community Hospice, Executive Leader Kim Daniel from Advance Housing Ltd, Councillor Lynn MacLaren and Councillor Rebecca Stephens at The City of Albany, CEO Louise Johnstone Forster of Albany Halfway Association, CEO Emma Jarvis and Tina General Manager Regions from Palmerston Association

Today is International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day held on 3 December each year.

In Australia, IDPwD is a joint effort between government, schools, organisations, community groups, businesses and individuals.

The Australian Government through the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing funds a national program to help promote and raise awareness of this day.

Here at Pivot we are a registered NDIS provider and our team are committed to inclusive, safe and high standard services for people living with disability.

Our NDIS elves are embracing the festive spirit. Renee has gone over and above to bring joy to the office. Nicole has been dashing around in X-mas outfits and jewellery and our newest member Megan sure brings an upbeat and positive vibe. The ladies, or should we say Sleighdies, are working hard until our office closure starting Dec 24th at noon.
