๐ŸŽ‰ Happy Primary Health Care Nurses Day! ๐ŸŽ‰

Today, we proudly join in celebrating Primary Health Care Nurses Day โ€“ a special day dedicated to recognising the vital work of nurses who care for people outside hospital settings, in places like aged care, general practice, community health, schools, and more. ๐Ÿฉบ๐ŸŒŸ

Primary health care nurses are often the first point of contact in our health system โ€” supporting prevention, early intervention and ongoing care, and helping keep our community healthy and well. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ Their expertise, compassion and commitment make such a difference in the lives of our patients and their families every single day.

Thank you to our nursing team โ€” weโ€™re grateful for you today and every day! ๐Ÿซถ

โ˜€๏ธ Stay SunSmart This Summer โ˜€๏ธ

๐ŸŒณ Seek shade whenever possible
๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ Slide on sunglasses to protect your eyes

๐Ÿฉบ SRMG offers professional skin checks all year round, helping with early detection and peace of mind. Whether itโ€™s summer or winter, itโ€™s always a good time to get your skin checked.

We understand there has been a lot of discussion in the community about bulk billing and changes to Medicare rebates.

At SRMG, our billing policy is not changing; you can expect to be billed as you previously have been.

๐Ÿ’ฌ A note on bulk billing:
Medicare rebates unfortunately do not cover the cost of providing quality healthcare and we are committed to quality.
Maintaining our current billing structure enables us to:
โœ… Provide high-quality, patient-centred care
โœ… Invest in medical equipment and technology
โœ… Employ quality staff
โœ… Maintain and develop a modern, comfortable practice environment

Did you know that the Medicare funding for chronic conditions has recently been reduced and some items for mental health have been removed. The most common problems we see are chronic disease and mental health.

We appreciate your continued trust in allowing us to be your healthcare partner. We remain committed to balancing the needs of our patients with the realities of running a sustainable general practice in all future decisions.
