Amity Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Dietitian Bradley Mertens, to our Community Allied Health Services team in Collie Street, Albany.

Bradley is an approachable and client focused Dietitian who is highly effective at building trust and meaningful relationships. With a calm, steady presence, he responds to clients with genuine empathy and curiosity, creating a safe and supportive environment where people feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

Drawing on a background in teaching, Bradley states, "I have strong skills in nutrition education and enjoy helping clients understand their health in practical, empowering ways."

Bradley has a particular passion for sports dietetics and a growing interest in holistic health practices, bringing a well-rounded, person-centred approach to supporting the wellbeing of the Great Southern community.

Amity Health’s Communities for Children program is proud to support this free Play in the Park, Great Southern WA BBQ breakfast for Dads, Granddads, Carers and children, creating a welcoming, inclusive space for families to connect.

Positive male role models play an important role in children’s early development and wellbeing, helping children feel safe, supported and confident as they grow.

The Central Great Southern Early Years Partnership Dental Health Project has demonstrated what can be achieved when organisations, communities and funders work together.

Thank you to everyone involved for your commitment to collaboration, community-led solutions and improving access to care for children and families across our region. 💙

Congrats to the team behind the Central Great Southern Early Years Partnership Dental Health Project, who have claimed a gong at the 2025 Institute of Public Administration Australia WA Achievement Awards.

This specialist dental outreach project is delivering essential screening and preventative treatment services for kids in Broomehill, Gnowangerup, Katanning, Kojonup and Tambellup.

We’re lucky to have Associate Professor Aris Siafarikas and his team visiting Albany throughout the year to support local families with paediatric endocrinology care.

Aris has been coming to Amity Health in Lockyer Avenue, Albany since 2011, helping children and teens with concerns related to growth, puberty, thyroid and adrenal function, bone health, and diabetes.

🌿🌿🌿Introducing Amity Health's visiting Podiatrist – Chelsea Punch

We’re proud to partner with Chelsea, an experienced podiatrist who has been supporting foot health across the Great Southern for many years.

Chelsea completed her Podiatry degree at Curtin University before returning to regional WA to work across public and private practice. She also completed postgraduate studies in Diabetes Education and spent 10 years in Albany Hospital’s high-risk diabetic foot clinic.

Chelsea now provides full podiatry services from her private practice based at Amity Health in Albany, including specialist support for preventing diabetic foot complications.

Partnerships like this help bring expert care closer to home, supporting healthier feet and healthier communities.
