RED CARPETS OR ROADBLOCKS?

This is a term our Director came up with through her cancer journey 10 years ago. Her entire world transformed by the realisation that life works with us depending on how aligned with our truth we are living.

RED CARPETS: some call it flow/manifestation but it’s when life is on your side. “Coincidences” that you couldn’t orchestrate happen in your favour and it feels like life is rolling out a red carpet for you and you’re on a roll.

ROADBLOCKS: are the obvious opposite of that. Things feel hard and like you meet resistance at every turn. It’s like no matter how hard you try, the thing you desperately want keeps alluding you.

Interestingly, you may experience roadblocks in one area of your life but red carpets in another.

In our Inner Work modality this isn’t ‘luck’ but rather it’s real time feedback on how in alignment you are with what’s meant for you.

The more in alignment; the more red carpets.

The more out of alignment; the more roadblocks.

Helping people get into alignment is most definitely the fastest way to watch their lives expand. Health, wealth, love, success. whatever.

“I had the business, the family, the house. I also had panic attacks at 2am.”

This is the kind of story we hear often when our clients first come to us. Here’s what changed in twelve months of Inner Work. On paper this client “had it all”, and yet she felt deeply unfulfilled, often thinking “is this it?”.

Working with her coach, she discovered she held a belief she was not worthy. Not worthy of the life she had created, her success, her loving family. She became aware she was always chasing, accomplishing and achieving to fill this void of ‘not enoughness’.

From one shiny object to another. She would get to the next success, enjoy it for a few days or weeks, but then that same feeling would take over. Not enough. Not making enough money. Not playing enough with her kids. Not being intimate enough with her husband. Not being there enough for her friends and family.

Through our Inner Work Immersion Program she turned, faced and understood this part of herself. She learnt to rewire this deep seeded belief, so she could step into the freedom that comes from truly knowing you are and always have been enough - just as you are.

This brought her more peace and less stress. She was able to continue succeeding in her career whilst at the same time "getting off the hamster wheel". She now experiences more joy in her life and with her family, deeper connection with herself, gratitude, presence and real fulfilment in her life today.

It happens quietly and without you even realising it.

You tell yourself “just a few more weeks”, “once things settle down”, “after Christmas I’ll focus on me again.”

You plan everything perfectly. You manage all the details of your work, your team, your family, your kids' social calendar.

You meal plan on a Sunday for the week. You spreadsheet your life and family holidays.

You feel in control. It feels good...until something goes wrong. Your kid is unwell. Your staff member at work quits. Your sister sends you a scathing text message.
Your husband has a big night out and doesn't help when you need him to.

The wheels start to fall off.

No amount of control quiets the feeling inside you that at any point you are going to lose it. Like everything could fall apart.

You worry about the future constantly. Over-thinking conversations, emails, future problems that don't yet exist. Having a plan A, B and C. Always living in the future of ‘what ifs’ rather than in the now. It's exhausting.

You wish you could just stop and relax, you wish the noise in your head would stop. You wish you could have more fun in life but it just doesn't seem possible for you right now. There is no time for "you".

We get it, any have been there. Real peace and fulfillment isn't found in tighter schedules and the need to control every part of your life. It is built in the mind and the body. Inner Work is the bridge that guides you from needing to control everything in order to feel ok, to learning to feel safe in your own body and mind so you can move with life, rather than against it.

You can still plan and organise. But instead it is done to scaffold and build the ambitious and successful life you want to create, rather than planning and organising to control because you are scared to let go.

You have the career, the family, the beautiful home, the designer wardrobe, the car and on paper it’s everything you once wanted.

You’ve been working hard. You have great family and friends. You go to the gym and have started meditating... And yet, something feels off.

The constant voice inside your head that says “I should be grateful for all I have" but at the same time it says "surely there is more to life than this?”.

That little voice is the part of you asking for more than boxes to tick. That part of you knows there must be more to life doing what I think I “should” be doing.

After years of working with hundreds of ambitious, high-achieving humans - parents, leaders, business owners - one theme always rises to the surface, no matter what someone comes to us for: intimacy. Our Director Eve shared earlier this week, that after almost 10 years in an intimate relationship with Anthony, she has learnt that it really takes something to be in a conscious relationship and to understand that part we each play when it comes to intimacy.

Not just the romantic kind.

The intimacy that shows up in our friendships, our families, with our children, and most importantly, the intimacy we have with ourselves.

Because when we feel disconnected within, that disconnection eventually weaves its way into every corner of our lives: our relationships, our leadership, our parenting, our health.

It’s the quiet space between the roles we play, the masks we wear, the achievements, and the highlight reels
 that reveals what’s really going on.
