We’re excited to share a special project led by Steven, one of our incredible First Nations support workers. In his own time, he’s been working on a design for a new work shirt, which he’s hand-drawn and digitally re-created.

This is just the first draft (we plan to add colour and our logo), but we’re so proud to support Steven in expressing his culture through his art. The design features the word Yindyamarra, which means “respect” in the local Wiradjuri language, and is inspired by a hoodie another staff member Jaara, created in 2023. We couldn’t be more proud of Steven and his talent!

🔵🔵🔵Do it for Dolly day 🔵🔵🔵

You may have seen an unusual amount of people out and about today wearing blue and wondering why.

We certainly were top to bottom in blue (but of course forget to take any photos!).

Here's why;

Do It For Dolly Day is a national campaign in Australia dedicated to raising awareness about bullying and supporting young people facing mental health challenges. It's a day to remember Dolly Everett, who tragically died by su***de after experiencing sustained bullying and cyberbullying. The day encourages communities to come together, spread kindness, and raise funds for Dolly's Dream, an organization dedicated to preventing bullying and supporting young people.

We collected funds within the team and made a donation, it is something close to our hearts and very eager to support.

Hi all, we'd just like to acknowledge its been awhile since we've posted. Scout has been managing our social media and hasn't had time with all the pats and attention he's been getting at the office.

On a serious note though our main focus is providing great supports to our participants, updating our Facebook has been pretty low on our priority list.

We do however check our inbox daily and we're very much active and busy in our community. So get in touch if you'd like any information about what we do and what we offer, if you receive a reply consisting of doggo emojis you know why 🐶🐕🐾

👀 Naidoc week sneak peak 👀

With Naidoc week just around the corner we've finalised this years design for our Winter Hoodies which will be unveiled towards the end of next week.

Big thanks to Boomanulla, the First Nations artist who drew these for us, who is also the dad of one of our staff.

Hi all, last Monday we posted an add on Seek for the position of a DSW. As of today there have been over 155 applicants.. we want to thank all who have applied. We certainly appreciate such a strong and positive response.

We will be assessing candidates and holding interviews in the next week or two but please bear with us as the advert is still open and may take some time. For those who may be interested we've included the link below.

We had a fantastic morning with our annual Easter egg hunt and donation to the Good Friday Appeal. It's something our youngest participants are super involved in and look forward to each year.

Thank you to the staff, families and participants who came, we couldn't do this without your continued support.

We had organised a visit from the Albury Central Fire crew with their main truck but unfortunately they had a call-out and were unable to attend.

Directions Lifecare do a lot of youth work within the NDIS and we're super eager to support The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne as much as we can with increased donations each year.

We hope everyone has an amazing and safe Easter long weekend!
