Have you ever tried to show a happy face to the world, but on the inside, you’re crying out for something, ANYTHING, to change so you can feel like you and be happy again?
If so, you’re in good company, as that’s where this story starts...
Meet Cath Doocey, the founder of the Flourish Boldly program. This program is not just a whim, it’s based on a mission to help women around the world to ‘Find freedom. Start flourishing’.
Without knowing it at the time, this mission started in Cath’s late 20’s.
It was around this time that she experienced bullying at work, significant heartbreak, and put simply, feeling sad more than she felt happy.
On the surface she may have still looked as though she was ok, but underneath it was a different story {as is so often the case}. She kept things bottled up, put on a brave face, and just got on with it.
Sadly though, ‘it’ caught up with her, and after years of living this way, she finally hit rock bottom.
“Rock bottom” involved:
~ Waking up each morning with a mixture of stress, misery, and emptiness gnawing at the pit of her stomach.
~ Feeling lonely as a lasting, loving, relationship continued to elude her {and one particularly devastating break-up finally breaking her}.
~ Incredibly high levels of stress and shattered self-confidence working for a bully in a high pressure job.
~ A spiritual life was virtually non-existent as she’d all but walked away from what she’d grown up believing.
To cope with everything being a shambles, she would live for the weekend. It was then that she could {almost} escape. She would do this by going out on the town with friends to forget her troubles... the thing with that though, was that they would always come crashing back to her again and again in her waking moments.
So she had to have constant stimulation to push those thoughts back down - music or TV on all the time, as little time alone as possible, etc.
It was the pits.
But one day, she finally decided it wasn’t a place she wanted to live for ONE. MINUTE. LONGER.
She knew deep down she was made for more, but had settled for less than her best...
So she resolved that she would get things right in her life again. The hidden blessing about rock bottom is that you can’t fall any further, the only way is up...
She couldn’t climb up alone though - she tried that and it didn’t work as she was looking to be rescued in the wrong places, by the wrong people.
She knew she needed help, and getting back to her roots of what grounded her in her true identity was where her answers lay.
It was there that she was courageous and BOLDLY reached out for the help she needed. And with the right support, started to climb, baby, climb!
Fast forward 8 years {and a mountain of personal development, learning and growth - with a few more ups and downs thrown in there}, Cath went to bed with a dream and woke up with a God-given purpose. And that purpose was to help women understand and leverage their strengths to find freedom from the pit and begin to flourish in LOVE ~ CAREER ~ LIFE.
Based on her burning desire to serve women in this way, she set about designing an online program centred on Positive Psychology from a Christian perspective that would help participants navigate the 3 pillars of wellbeing {LOVE ~ CAREER ~ LIFE} so they too may rise up and become ALL they were designed to be.
It is Cath's mission to help thousands of women across the globe find the freedom they so desperately seek through the 'Flourish Boldly’ program.
If you feel as though LOVE ~ CAREER ~ LIFE is less than ideal for you, head to the Flourish Boldly website to learn more about Cath’s approach to helping you flourish.
If you’re still not sure if you’re ready to flourish, you can book a free Clarity Call to chat with Cath to help you work out if this program is a good fit for your circumstances.
In the words of Cath, be “bold, baby, bold” - it might just change your life... xo
