🌿 Today is World Environment Day – a moment to reflect on how we care for our planet, and the role health care can play in creating a more sustainable future.
At Ramsay, we know that looking after people means looking after the environment they live in.
Through Ramsay Cares, our sustainability strategy, we’re making practical, long-term changes – from reducing emissions and cutting waste to building more energy-efficient hospitals.
Every action counts, and it’s the everyday choices made by our people that are helping shape a healthier future for both patients and the planet. 💚🌏

Thank you to our volunteers!
This National Volunteer Week (19–25 May), we celebrate the incredible contributions of our volunteers under the theme “Connecting Communities.”
Our volunteers bring warmth, support and a sense of connection to our hospitals — whether welcoming people at the front desk, assisting patients and families, or working behind the scenes. Their generosity and dedication make a real difference every day.
Please take a moment this week to thank the volunteers in your area. A kind word goes a long way in recognising the heart they bring to our community.

💙 This International Nurses Day, we honour the heart of healthcare — our incredible nurses.
For more than 60 years, Ramsay’s nurses and midwives have shaped our story. They’ve been there through life’s most defining moments — welcoming new life, supporting recovery, and offering comfort at the end of life.
While the settings and tools may have changed, the compassion, strength and presence at the core of this work remain the same.
To all the wonderful nurses at Ramsay sites around the country - on behalf of our patients, their families, and everyone at Ramsay — thank you for all that you do. 💙

❤️ This Heart Week, we’re joining the call to put heart health at the top of your to-do list.
Cardiovascular disease remains one of Australia’s biggest health challenges, yet many of its risk factors — like high blood pressure, inactivity and poor diet — are within our power to change.
That’s why this week is all about awareness and action.
At Ramsay, we see the impact of heart disease every day. But we also see the incredible difference that early detection, lifestyle changes and expert care can make.
Your heart matters. Let’s look after it, together.

🦺 World Day for Safety and Health at Work 🦺
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is a moment to reflect on the vital role we all play in creating safe, healthy workplaces.
At Ramsay, safety is everyone’s responsibility—from preventing injuries and reducing risks, to supporting mental wellbeing and fostering a culture where people feel safe to speak up. Together, we work to prevent work-related illnesses, injuries, and incidents—because caring for people starts with caring for each other.
Thank you to every team member across our hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and offices for continuing to put safety first—for our people, our patients, and our communities.

Honouring courage and sacrifice.
On 25 April, we pause to honour ANZAC Day—a national day of remembrance that marks the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli in 1915 and pays tribute to all Australians and New Zealanders who have served—and continue to serve—in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping.
ANZAC Day is a powerful reminder of the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of those who came before us. It’s also a time to reflect on the values they upheld—mateship, endurance, and compassion—which continue to shape our communities today.
At Ramsay, we’re proud to care for veterans, service members, and their families every day. Today, we thank them—and remember them.
Lest we forget.

🎉 Ramsay hits 100 million plastics milestone!
Just in time for 🌏 Ramsay has officially met our goal of eliminating 100 million single-use plastic items.
What started as a small pilot in 2020 has grown into one of our biggest sustainability wins - thanks to the commitment of our people across our entire organisation. From medicine cups to meal containers, we’ve swapped out plastic for more sustainable alternatives wherever we can. ♻️
💚 While we’ve now reached our target, our efforts to reduce and replace single-use plastics continue.

Celebrating the legacy of Paul Ramsay
On 31 January, we celebrate the birthday of our founder, Paul Ramsay.
While Paul is no longer with us, his vision and values continue to guide Ramsay as we strive to deliver exceptional healthcare to our patients across the globe.
Paul Ramsay was a true visionary. His entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering commitment to quality health care led him to establish our first hospital in 1964. From those humble beginnings, Ramsay has grown into a leading global health care provider, touching the lives of millions of patients each year.
Paul's legacy extends far beyond our hospitals. His philanthropic endeavours, particularly through the Paul Ramsay Foundation, have made a significant impact on Australian society, supporting initiatives in education, medical research and social justice.
As Ramsay employees, we carry on Paul's legacy every day. We uphold his commitment to patient-centered care, strive for continuous improvement and work together to create a positive impact on the communities we serve.
Happy Birthday, Paul.
