Remember: it's about progress, not perfection. Every small change supports your child's health.

Gross motor skills are the big movements our little ones use every day 💛

Think running, jumping, climbing, balancing and kicking a ball. These skills build the foundation for playground confidence, school participation and independence.

If your child seems hesitant with bigger movements, tires quickly, or avoids active play, they may just need a little extra support.

Physiotherapists help build strength, balance and coordination.

Occupational therapists support how these skills show up in everyday life — at school, at home and in play.

At home, you can encourage:

⚽️ Outdoor play
🏀 Obstacle courses
🏈 Animal walks
🏐 Ball games
🎾 Balancing activities

Keep it playful. Keep it consistent. And most of all, keep it fun!

Every child develops at their own pace — but the right support can make all the difference.

ADHD can be influenced by many interconnected factors. Our naturopaths take time to explore the body as a whole, with the goal of better understanding each individual’s unique needs, and the factors that may be contributing to ongoing challenges.

Swipe across to see some of the areas our naturopaths explore when supporting individuals with ADHD. Save this for reference, and share with others navigating ADHD.

Choosing a naturopath isn’t about adding “another appointment” to your week.

It’s about having the space to explore what’s been going on — whether that’s your own energy, hormones and gut health, or concerns about your child’s immunity, behaviour, skin, sleep or nutrition.

At My Word Health, our naturopathy appointments are collaborative, practical and tailored to real life. No overwhelm. No one-size-fits-all plans. Just thoughtful, individualised support designed around you or your child.

If you’ve been wondering whether naturopathy might be the missing piece, we’re here to help you explore it with clarity and confidence.

Did you know one of the simplest ways to build your child’s language is by adding just one or two words? 💬✨

If your little one says “dog,” you can model:
🐶 “Brown dog”
🐶 “Big dog”
🐶 “Dog bark”

It’s called expanding utterances — and it’s a beautiful way to gently stretch their language without pressure. You’re showing them what the next step sounds like, while still following their lead.

No quizzes. No corrections. Just natural, playful modelling in the moment.
Small additions. Big impact. 🤍

Save this tip for later and try it today during playtime or while you’re out and about.

ADHD is a neurotype, not something to "fix" or "cure." It's simply a different way the brain works, and it comes with unique strengths as well as challenges.

Naturopathic support can work beautifully alongside medication and therapy, or as a standalone option for families seeking natural support.

✨ Check out what’s been happening in Toddler Group! ✨

Our little movers (ages 1–3) have been busy building confidence and strength through safe, structured play 💛

This week we’ve been:
🤸♀️ Practising early jumping and safe landings
🧗♂️ Climbing and exploring new heights
⚖️ Balancing, stepping up and down
🚧 Navigating obstacle courses
🧠 Developing coordination and body awareness

It’s been amazing to see their confidence grow as they explore, move, and support one another. So much learning happens through movement at this age!
