NDIS Disability Support Worker – Family Quality Care

Location: Albury Wodonga and surrounding areas
Employment Type: Casual
Start Date: Immediate start available

We are expanding our team and seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers who share our values of respect, dignity, and reliability.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker with Family Quality Care, you will provide individualised support that helps participants live independently and achieve their goals. Your responsibilities may include:

Personal care and daily living assistance

Meal preparation, household tasks, and domestic support

Community access and social participation

Supporting clients during appointments, shopping, and recreational activities

Implementing individual care plans and behaviour support plans (where required)

Accurate documentation and compliance with NDIS standards

Promoting client choice, control, and empowerment at all times

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who are:

Warm, patient, and compassionate

Reliable, responsible, and committed to quality support

Strong communicators with a person-centred mindset

Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team

Driven to make a positive impact in the lives of others

Essential Requirements

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or similar (or working towards)

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Working With Children Check (if required)

Current First Aid & CPR certifications

National Police Check

Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Full working rights in Australia

Highly Desirable

Experience supporting individuals with complex needs or behaviour support requirements

Knowledge of NDIS standards and person-centred practice

Training in manual handling, medication assistance, or behaviour support

The message of ‘Changing the Narrative on Su***de’ encourages us to change how we talk about su***de. To replace silence and stigma for empathy, compassion and action.

We all have a role to play in staying connected, showing up for those we care about and helping those struggling access the support they need.

Today is the very first AuDHD Day!

AuDHD is a non-medical term for people who are both autistic and have ADHD. While each are distinct diagnoses, its believed about 50-70% of autistic people also have ADHD.

Each AuDHDer has a unique mix of autistic and ADHD traits that can complement or contradict each other.

AuDHD Day is a community-led initiative to raise awareness of AuDHD, which is often missed and misunderstood.
