Christian Parents interested in learning some awesome childhood development information related to faith based parenting-

there is an amazing 45 min video you might really want to see: "Sin or Development: Untangling Spiritual Abuse from Childhood Formation" with Meaghan Hampton.

This video is part of day two of the Broken to Beloved summit- which is free and you can sign up here: https://www.brokentobeloved.org/annualsummit

But the catch is that unless you buy an all access pass you only have the next 24 hours to watch this video. The pass is a lifetime access to the videos from this year, and you can get it even after the summit has ended, but you can watch free this and the other sessions if you act now- I watch the summit annually and just watched this one and thought it might be a great interest to many of my former students. Today, we celebrate Maternal Health Awareness Day and remind everyone that most maternal deaths are preventable when women have access to good care, good food, and healthy choices. What you do, how you eat, and what you learn during pregnancy can make a difference—sometimes more than you might think.

Honoring the loss of another natural birth pioneer.
Dr. Michel Odent's family shared he has passed away on August 19th after a brief illness.
His legacy includes numerous books, advocating for de-medicalizing birth, encouraging instinctual birthing methods including pools and early initiation of breastfeeding.
From the website www.wombecology.com:
"Michel Odent, MD, has been in charge of the surgical unit and the maternity unit at the Pithiviers (France) state hospital (1962-1985). He is the author of the first article in the medical literature about the initiation of lactation during the hour following birth (1977), of the first article about the use of birthing pools (Lancet 1983), and of the first article applying the ‘Gate Control Theory of Pain’ to obstetrics (1975)."
What a contribution to the world of natural childbirth!
