Happy birthday dear William. Praying you return to your mummy & daddy.
Detectives investigating the disappearance of William Tyrrell have renewed appeals for information about his whereabouts on his fourth birthday.
Strike Force Rosann was established following William’s suspected abduction from his grandmother’s home at Kendall, on the state’s mid north coast, in September last year.
“William did not just vanish into thin air,” Detective Inspector Gary Jubelin, from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, said.
“We, along with his family and friends, pray that he is still alive,” Det. Insp. Jubelin said.
“If he had not been targeted, today William would be with his mum and dad, his sister and other loved ones, blowing out candles on his birthday cake and happily opening presents,” he added.
“Instead, there’s a little boy missing, separated from a family whose world has fallen apart.
“Investigators are still keen to hear from anyone who might know what has happened to William.
“Do the right thing, if you know something, come forward.
“We will treat any information provided with confidentiality.”
The strike force today has also welcomed Australia’s leading child protection advocate organisation, Bravehearts, to the campaign to locate William.
“Bravehearts and its founder/CEO, Hetty Johnson, have a great reputation for supporting efforts like ours,” Det. Insp. Jubelin said.
“We welcome their helping hand and look forward to their support in the search for William.”
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/ Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
