Did you know that doctors at Pulse Medical now bulk bill?

📢 From 1 November 2025 doctors at Pulse Medical will trial the new bulk-billing incentive program introduced by Services Australia for eligible GP services!

What this means for you:

✅ If you are Medicare-eligible (i.e., you hold a current valid Medicare card) you will be bulk billed for eligible GP services at our practice, meaning no out-of-pocket cost for those services.

🔍 Important details & what to expect:

• The bulk billing applies only to services that are on the eligible services list (for example standard GP consultations, chronic disease management, health assessments) as defined by the Medicare Benefits Schedule Bulk Billing Incentive Items (BBI) changes.

• If you require a service not on the eligible list (for example some procedural services, pregnancy consultations, or special Medicare items), there may still be an out-of-pocket fee (gap fee) required. This means we will bulk bill when we can, but not every service will be free.

💬 What you should do:
• Bring your Medicare card to each appointment.
• Complete MyMedicare registration with your preferred GP at Pulse Medical.
• If you are charged out-of-pocket fee, please ask us which part of the service is not covered under the bulk-bill program.
• Pease do not blame or abuse our staff for inadequate funding provided by Medicare for certain services.

We are working hard to help make primary care more accessible for our community, and we look forward to your support. Thank you for trusting us with your health.

✨ A history of sunburns, tanning, or lots of sun exposure
✨ A family history of skin cancer
✨ Many moles or freckles
✨ Weakened immunity

🔍 If you’ve noticed a new spot, a changing mole, or anything that doesn’t look right, it’s always best to get it checked.

As Dr Marlina reminds her patients:
👉 “If you have any doubts about a skin spot — don’t wait. Early checks save lives.”

☀️ Skin health matters — and early detection saves lives. ☀️

When a suspicious spot is found during a skin check, Dr Marlina may recommend a skin biopsy.

Here’s what that means for you:
🔍 A small sample of skin is taken quickly and safely in the clinic
🧪 The sample is sent to the lab to check for skin cancer or other conditions
⏱️ The procedure is simple, usually done under local anaesthetic, and takes only minutes
✅ Early diagnosis means better treatment options and peace of mind

Dr Marlina is highly experienced in skin checks and skin procedures, providing thorough, compassionate care so you feel comfortable every step of the way.

📅 Book your skin check today — don’t wait until it’s too late.

Our Story

Safety, Care and Excellence - our three core values are reflected in everything we do at Pulse Medical.

It has taken us some time to distil down what we really stand for, what we enjoy the most about our work and what drives us every morning. A big thanks to our patients who over the years have provided invaluable feedback highlighting the areas where we perform well and things we need to improve.

A key principle of medicine is to do no harm. Our team participates in continuous learning and take time during consultations to ensure that our patients get the most evidence based advice and are fully aware of risks and benefits before making an informed and safe choice.

Our approach is to care for our patients in the same way as if they are a part of our extended family. We want to understand your problems, explore what your worries are and be a partner in your healthcare journey. Simply put we listen, understand because we care!
