Just a wee lil’ story about where I’m currently at. I’ll be away from Instagram for the next few weeks while I take time to focus on my counselling studies and my counselling business (please go and follow alone and help support me on that page too). I came to realise over the last few days that I’m very good at getting a lot of stuff done, but I’m not very good at having so many multiple attentions that I can really delve into each priority fruitfully or with pleasure. I’ve hit my limit of biting off more than I can chew, and it’s a pattern I’d like to stop. I want to be able to give ample time and attention to my bigger priorities, which right now does not include regular daily posts, which I’ve been struggling to maintain this year already. So for the next few weeks I go inwards, finalising what I need to and trying to remember to enjoy the projects I have on the go, instead of feeling overwhelmed. A lot of emotion around this has come out of me in the past few hours 😬😂 and my unhelpful patterns have become very very clear. I love this account, I love what I do, but reality is taking a grip right now. I am learning to give back to me. I am still available for private readings if you’d like one (feel free to DM me to organise time and payment) but right now, there is another cocoon moment. Such are the cycles and seasons of life.

There is so much love and adoration surrounding you, but it feels like you’re having a hard time accepting love, or are keeping yourself stuck in a place of being unable to receive because of fears of your worthiness. If this does involve a relationship of some kind, which it feels like it does, don’t hold yourself back from saying what you feel or opening up and getting vulnerable with someone else. The good thing is the Page of Cups energy feels more dominant, but you’re not safe being stuck behind a wall. You need to express yourself and go with the flow of your emotions. You might think that if you allow yourself to be vulnerable you’ll be hurt, but the opposite is true. Instead, you’ll return to a place of sanctuary and support. Allow your feelings to carry you to surprising places.

Then you can relax and you’ll have more energy (without the worry or stress of not having things done) to engage in the things that you love most. Eat, pray, love. Make love. Dance in the rain or get painting. Whatever fills your boat, make sure you engage that stuff too. But first, clear some old stuff out!

❤️ Apologies for being away again. Covid knocked me about a bit and then I stepped into a ceremonial space for a few days, but this is the rhythm of life and I’m learning a lot about the design and choreography of my energy, as always!

While I’ve been down sick it’s given me some time to think and explore areas of the spiritual community I haven’t touched in a while.

And what I’m about to say is likely going to p**s quite a few people off. Good.

I’ve watched over the last few years as being spiritual or a witch or a shaman is becoming increasingly popular, and every person and their dog believes that they can make money or a career out of being some sort of spiritual guru. This year, it seems to have EXPLODED.

I’m seeing so many people with no other experience than “I went and did a weekend course and got a ‘certificate’” stating that they’re now qualified shamans or healers and offering healing circles, often advertising themselves as good places for people to unpack their traumas. It’s the rhetoric of “I healed myself so if I can do it, you can do it too” with no acknowledgement that everyone’s journeys are different and with no trauma informed background or understanding of what holding space actually means, either as an energetic container or simply mentally/emotionally.

I am going to really stress to people that you need to do some SERIOUS RESEARCH about who you are going to see and what experience they have at what levels and for how long before you choose to trust someone to hold space for you if you are interested in seeking out various healing modalities. I don’t care how good or aesthetic their Instagram page looks with however many moons or stars dotted about, or that they look like some DeviantArt poster goddess in their expensive hippy clothes. Do they hold themselves accountable? Do they hold you safely and with integrity? What trauma have they experienced and have they actually healed from it, or are they just using spirituality as a way to aesthetically bypass and make themselves feel better by being viewed as a “healer” in the eyes of others? Who / where have they studied from?

So, a sneaky post to say we’ve hit 500 followers! Thank you for all the love, support and purchases you may have made over the years.

I’ve enjoyed building a beautiful little tarot community here and I’ve loved reading your messages over the past few years.

In the world of Insta-influencers and celebrity, 500 may not seem like a lot but to me it’s a huge amount.

When I first started this account, I thought if I could share my love of tarot, practise my intuitive skills and maybe help one person gain clarity, that would be amazing.

Never did I think this would be also one of the most consistent things I’ve done, for nearly 4 years now, almost daily but definitely weekly.
