Last Friday, Allanson Primary School was a sea of orange as we came together to celebrate Harmony Day 🧡

Students and staff embraced the spirit of inclusion and diversity, taking part in a range of Harmony Day–themed club activities throughout the afternoon. It was wonderful to see everyone learning, creating, and celebrating what makes our community so special.

A big highlight of the day was decorating cupcakes, with every student getting the chance to design their own and take it home – a huge thank you to Keah for making this possible!

Harmony Day was a great reminder that everyone belongs, and it was so nice to see our school come together in such a positive and meaningful way. 🧡

Breakfast Club! 🥣✨

It’s so wonderful to see students starting their day with a full tummy and a smile. Breakfast Club provides a welcoming space for our students to connect with friends, build positive routines, and get ready for a great day of learning.

A big thank you to everyone who helps make this possible – we truly appreciate your support! 💚

Allanson Primary School will be celebrating Harmony Day tomorrow. Staff and students are encouraged to wear orange and bring a gold coin donation.

We’re excited to have Keah Richie visiting, who will be helping students to decorate their own cupcake to take home.

The day will finish with our usual clubs, but with a special Harmony Day theme, where each club will run a different activity celebrating diversity and inclusion. 🧡

🌿 Bushland Rehabilitation at Allanson Primary School 🌿

Our Year 3/4 students recently rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, using grant funding from Southern Ports to help rehabilitate a section of bushland alongside the Karak Walking Trail.

Students planted a range of flowering native plants, including eucalypts, grevilleas and banksias, helping to beautify the area for everyone who enjoys the walking track. These plants will also support local wildlife and contribute to creating a wildlife corridor that links pockets of natural habitat.

This project reflects the Bush School ethos at Allanson Primary, where students learn the importance of caring for the beautiful native bushland that surrounds our school.

A big thank you to Southern Ports for their generous support. Our students loved being able to contribute something special to the local community! 🌱

🌿 Allanson Primary School Clean Up Day 🌿

On Wednesday after lunch, our students took part in a school clean up around our bush school environment. It was a great opportunity for everyone to get involved and help look after the beautiful space we are lucky to learn and play in every day.

Students worked together to pick up rubbish around the school grounds and bush areas. While there wasn’t much rubbish to collect, it was still an important reminder of how we can all help keep our environment clean and cared for.

We’re proud to say that our students already do a fantastic job of looking after our school, which is why there wasn’t a lot of rubbish to find. Taking care of our bush school helps protect the natural environment and keeps our school a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.

Great work everyone for showing pride in our school and helping keep Allanson Primary clean and beautiful! 🌱👏

🌟 Introducing Our 2026 Student Councillors – Semester 1! 🌟

We are excited to introduce our Student Councillors for Semester 1, 2026: Passion Hunia, Ruby Tareha, Zoey Gould, Elizabeth Vening, Serenity Poata, and Matilda Donovan.

These students have stepped up to take on an important leadership role within our school community. They are enthusiastic sharing ideas, and helping make our school an even better place for everyone.

All six councillors are excited for the opportunity ahead and are ready to take on the responsibility, show leadership, and be positive role models throughout the semester. We can’t wait to see the great ideas and contributions they bring to the role.

Congratulations and good luck for the semester ahead! 👏
