Once the kids are back at school and routines settle, many adults finally get a moment to pause.

If you’ve been putting off an appointment, check-up or follow-up, now is a good time to refocus on your own health. Looking after yourself isn’t selfish – it’s part of staying well for the long run.

📞 Book an appointment if you’re due for a check-in: call 4666 3336.

If you’ve ever called or visited Allora Medical, chances are you’ve been helped by Ange, our Senior Admin Support Officer. Ange keeps things running smoothly, supports our team and makes patients feel welcome from the very first hello.

Outside the clinic, Ange loves nothing more than winding down with a sundowner at Allora Mountain, soaking up the views and the fresh air after a big day.

We think it’s pretty hard to beat a local sunset like that! 🌄

👉 Anyone else love heading up there for a sunset? Or have a favourite local spot to unwind? Let us know in the comments – we’d love to hear.

This Valentine’s Day, love can look like many things.

It might be checking in on a partner, encouraging a parent to book an appointment, making sure the kids are well – or finally prioritising your own health.

Looking after the people you love often starts with looking after health, in small, everyday ways.

💛 A gentle reminder to check in on someone you care about this week.

Back to school often means sharing more than just stories and lunchboxes. Colds, sore throats or tummy bugs are very common in the first few weeks of term as children mix with new classmates and routines.

Most mild illnesses can be managed at home with rest and fluids – but if symptoms linger, worsen, or you’re unsure, it’s always okay to check in with your GP.

February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

Symptoms can be subtle and easy to dismiss – things like ongoing bloating, pelvic discomfort, or changes in appetite. If something doesn’t feel right, or symptoms persist, it’s important to talk with your GP. Trusting your instincts and seeking advice early matters.

We’re here to listen and support you.

Today is World Cancer Day – a timely reminder of the importance of early checks, ongoing monitoring, and having a healthcare team who knows you over time. Whether it’s skin checks, routine screening, or simply raising a concern that’s been on your mind – those conversations matter.

If you’re due for a check, or something doesn’t feel quite right, we’re here to talk it through with you.
