Brainstorm Productions helps more than 260,000 Australian students each year through their range of award-winning educational theatre productions, addressing issues such as bullying, cyber safety and student wellbeing. Back for Term 2 and we're ready to go! 💥

Amy and Hamish are continuing to hit the road across Sydney this term with The Hurting Game and The Human Race, bringing important conversations into schools through live performance. We also have our QLD and VIC teams continuing in Term 2, and we've excited to have another four actors joining the team.

Meet Rebecca! 🎭

Rebecca is Melbourne-based and grew up in rural Victoria, where her love of performing first began through music; starting with the flute at just seven years old. In her early teens, she found her way into community theatre and quickly fell in love with acting.

After moving to Melbourne to study acting, Rebecca graduated at the end of 2025. Alongside performing, she enjoys creative writing and photography, and has also worked behind the scenes as assistant director for Cyrano de Bergerac with Artefact Theatre Company.

Rebecca is excited to join the Brainstorm team in 2026, performing The Protectors & Verbal Combat across Melbourne and regional VIC throughout Terms 2–4.

NSW Youth Week is here! 🙌

It’s all about young people showing up, speaking up and being part of their communities whether that’s through events, conversations or just having their voices heard.

When students are given the space to talk, reflect and support each other, that’s when real impact happens.

This year’s theme is Dream. Dare. Do. A reminder for young people to back themselves and take action in ways that matter to them.

Meet Max! 🎭

Max is a Hobart born performer who recently completed a Bachelor of Musical Theatre at the Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre (Griffith University).

Growing up around music and live performance, Max now writes songs on guitar and brings strong acting, singing and dancing skills to the stage. Away from performing, he’s a dedicated home baker and an all-weather ocean swimmer (true Tasmanian style 🌊).

Max is excited to join the Brainstorm team in 2026. He'll be performing The Protectors & Verbal Combat in the Melbourne and regional VIC areas in Terms 2-4

A look back to Harmony Week earlier this term! 💫

Eloise and Ryan performing Cyberia in Brisbane, and Hamish and Amy bringing The Human Race to life in Sydney; two programs focused on helping students navigate the world around them with greater awareness, empathy and confidence.

Cyberia supports secondary students in understanding online behaviour, social pressures and how to make safer, more informed choices in digital spaces. The Human Race focuses on respect, belonging and empathy, helping primary students build strong connections and supportive communities.
