Day 7 of the 12 Days of Face Yoga

The fifth step in the SPARK face yoga framework is K for Kindness.

This is such an important step and one that is unique to this method of face yoga.

I love teaching this to my clients and seeing the impact that it has on other practice and their whole wellbeing 😍

Day 6 of the 12 Days of Face Yoga

The fourth step in the SPARK framework is R for Revive.

This is where we get into doing our face yoga exercises and practices such as facial massage, acupressure and brushing.

Day 5 of the 12 Days of Face Yoga

The third step in the SPARK framework is A for Alignment.

This is where we attend to our posture, roll the shoulders back, take a deep breath and do a warm up exercise to release tension from the shoulders, neck and upper back.

Join me tomorrow for the next step.

Day 4 of the 12 Days of Face Yoga

The second step in the SPARK framework is P for Pamper.

This is where you apply facial oil to hydrate and nourish your skin.

I like using sweet almond oil. Other oils to try include jojoba, argan, macadamia, and rosehip.

Day 3 of the 12 Days of Face Yoga 😁

Today we start with the S in SPARK, my 5 step Face Yoga framework.

S stands for Splash 💦

Splashing cold water on the face, especially in the morning, helps wake us up and helps reduce morning puffiness and inflammation.

Do you do this already? If not, give it a try and feel the difference.

Breaking my fast with a nutrient dense breakfast.
I ate dinner at 7pm and it’s now 9am. After 14 hours I’m ready to eat.
I like to practice intermittent fasting where I can. It helps give my digestive system a break and time to do what it needs to do but it also has other amazing health benefits.
The best bit is, I can make a huge breakfast and really enjoy it.
This plate has chickpeas, asparagus, whole grain sourdough with pesto, avocado, sprouts and some lovely ferments - pink sauerkraut and chilli carrot. I’m pairing this with a cup of miso soup. That’s right! I don’t drink coffee.
Miso is another wonderful ferment that feeds good gut bacteria and is a wonderful digestive tonic.
