Dr Lucy Dobson – Returning from Maternity Leave!

We are pleased to share that Dr Lucy Dobson will be returning from maternity leave as of Thursday 9th April.

Initially, Dr Dobson will be working one day per week (Thursdays). As availability will be limited, we kindly ask patients who wish to see Dr Dobson to plan and book appointments accordingly.

For any appointments required before Dr Dobson’s next available Thursday, our other GP providers are still more than happy to continue the shared care of Dr Dobson’s existing patients, to ensure continuity of care.

Please contact reception if you need assistance with bookings or would like to discuss your appointment options.

20/03/2026

Heads up that from Tuesday next week our online bookings will all be via AMS Connect, as we have switched to AutoMed for our booking and recall systems.

Download the app now so you’re ready to go, and expect some changes to reminder and recall notifications - which will be simpler and more efficient.

Yes, it’s another Extreme fire danger day tomorrow. Similar to the last one we will be open as usual tomorrow morning Tues 17 February at 8:30am unless things change overnight.

Due to increased fire risk we are offering Telehealth to patients (where appropriate) to reduce travel, and also continue care if people are enacting their fire plan and leaving the area. Please call the clinic on 0342156700 to change your appointment and please be patient with reception - calling after 10am to change later appointments would be appreciated.

If conditions worsen, we will prioritise safety and may convert to Telehealth only appointments and close the clinic. We will keep you updated.

Stay safe. Keep hydrated and stay cool, particularly if you have any significant health issues.

Keep your Vic Emergency App available and follow any guidance issued.

šŸ”„ Extreme Fire Danger Rating Tomorrow šŸ”„

Tomorrow, the Fire Danger Rating for the Surf Coast Shire Council is EXTREME.

ā“ What does an Extreme Fire Danger Rating mean?
When the Fire Danger Rating is Extreme, fires can spread rapidly and become life-threatening. Protect yourself and the people you care about by taking action early.

šŸ‘‰ What does this mean?
• Fires will spread quickly and be extremely dangerous
• Hot, dry and windy conditions are expected
• These are dangerous fire conditions

šŸ‘‰ What should you do?
• Review your bushfire plan and make sure your property is fire-ready
• If a fire starts, act immediately
• If you’re not fully prepared, leave for a safer location well before fire impacts
• Reconsider travel through bushfire-risk areas
• Leaving early in the day is always the safest option
